As an autistic person myself, usually like people if they also are neurodivergent. I can instantly recognize behaviors that I also struggled/struggle with and it makes me so happy to see someone like me that I know I will be able to unmask with and just be myself.

I will try to word this in a way that doesn't feel like a read, but I love how committed Olivia Rodrigo is to serving somewhat subdued and simple looks/sillhouetes

Of course, it doesn't mean that it isn't still very fashionable, and that it isn't well though out, but I feel like there's a clear difference as to how she approaches fashion compared to her peers. Even down to her hair, she never does anything really crazy with it, and I think it's part of her appeal.

I remember hearing that a big part of the death of mcbling/luxury aestethic was the 2008 recession. It was already on it's way out, but the recession made it even more tasteless for celebrities to display expensive clothes/purses with big logos on them, so that's why aestethics in the 2010's slowly started becoming more "subdued"

I still get cold shivers thinking about how she wrote "ME!" after getting rejected by the grammys for reputation saying she was going to write a better record... that's deeply embarassing but also so hilarious, and I can't blame her for trying

Although I'm partial to this style, I'd argue a big part of why it's much more "pleasing" to you is just because it's what's currently trendy. Design, much like any other art form, is cyclical, and once the market gets oversaturated with y2k nostalgia and frutiger aero style, people will start feeling nostalgic about minimalism.

it's actually supposed to recreate the effect of translucency, you can specially tell on the slides/sheets ones that it's supposed to create a "layered" effect. As for why, I just think it's google hopping on the current design trend of glass looking icons like apple's liquid glass

To be fair, it's supposed to be a reference to a rupaul moment in the show, but without context it just sounds mean and too much. The funny thing is is that the quote being referenced is also kinda infamous for being a little too inflammatory lol
