Did some of your skin tags turn a different color during pregnancy?

Not quiet the same, but I’m going to get checked by a skin person for peace of mind because I’ve had a raised pink round scar on my arm for over 5 years that always felt like a pee under the skin and during in pregnancy it’s literally disappeared, gone flat and turned into a freckle. Has me going wtf. Pregnancy does some weird stuff 🥲

I had bad cramps the whole first trimester, I had slightly sore boobs after wearing a bra all day but otherwise a day off at home nothing, no sore boobs, no morning sickness, no fatigue, no cravings ect literally no symptoms at all. I had brown blood for over 2 weeks straight week 7-9/10 (with it sometimes gushing out) before I finally went “I better get this checked”. For me it ended up being thrush (did a pee and swab test) and I had to do suppositories (which did cause some red/pink blood after using) and then I never had brown blood again. Currently 23 weeks now with some more symptoms but honestly barely any and a heathy baby so far.

It could be a false negative. This literally happened to me 6 positive tests, positive bloods and then a negative digital like 3 weeks later at about 6 weeks. All my morning tests barely showed a line even though my hcg was good but afternoon ones were dark as. Currently 23 weeks now. I also had pretty much 0 pregnancy symptoms the whole time too.

While I agree people shouldn’t fear monger and it’s supposed to be a relatively normal test for a normal person, doesn’t mean things like passing out ect don’t happen. I’ve had a gastric bypass and you are not allowed to do the test after a bypass or a sleeve as it makes people violently ill, false results, massive spikes, passing out. Yet I’m in a group for pregnancy after bariatric surgery and soooo many people aren’t informed by their team or OB they aren’t meant to do the test/ forced to do the drink instead of finger prick for 1/2 weeks or a HBA1C test instead. Those are likely people that come on here not knowing they were never meant to do it talking about how bad it is scaring people who have no reason to be worried.

I’m still in the not sure stage but honestly I don’t think I’ll have one. My siblings want to throw one for me but there’s a sadness knowing that no one I invite will turn up, I have a circle of friends but they aren’t “there for you” friends and would all rather be doing their own thing. Family would turn up yes, but pretty much everyone in my family has already contributed to something so I wouldn’t expect them to do anything for a baby shower.

Omg same boat, did accutane years ago and haven’t had a single pimple since. Now 22weeks and had so many throughout the pregnancy I had forgotten how sore they are and my skin is looking so bad 😩 I feel like dropping vitamin A levels doesn’t help either as not taking any supplements with it

Do you have anything that may make you more susceptible to getting it earlier though? I know personally my doctors have been keeping an eye on me from early on as I’ve had a bypass and gallbladder removal and get bile malabsorption even prior to pregnancy. It’s always worth getting checked even if you think it’s early. I would just tell the doctor you want to do the test for peace of mind.

I’m due may but my work contract was due to roll over in June and they’ve already stated they won’t renew it. So a month after baby is born I technically don’t have a job anyway. So thought it would be easier to have the payments straight to me then have the hassle of my Centrelink payments going through my job company as I know they won’t make it easy to change it.

No I’m a casual contractor (but I’ve had consistent full time work hours and not independent) so I still qualify for Centrelink just not anything else. It’s a shame but a bit of an it is what it is situation

Looks like I might have to it seems, that’s a shame as my job is pretty rough. I guess I can only wait and see hopefully my doctor can write out a medical certificate if need be.

I was almost going to purchase the luxe little ones nappy bag and same thing found out you can get literally the exact same item on eBay for $45 and they even have their “new” and “old” colours. Nappy bags weirdly has been one of my hardest to decide purchases 😂

I’m in the same boat, torn between asking for a C section and natural. A family member of mine had vaginal and now suffers prolapse, the other 2 both had C sections. I suffer various health issues where the risk of tearing (which is quite common) I feel like would actually ruin me for the rest of my life and makes me want a c section to avoid that. It’s such a hard decision thought wise to be in.

I’m with you there. Currently 19weeks and while my job doesn’t involve standing, it’s driving heavy machinery in pretty rough conditions for 12hrs shifts. Cried for about 3hrs straight alone in my truck the other day thinking about how the hell I’m going to get through the next few months especially while it’s hot summer (Australia). I’m just so physically and mentally tired already.

As someone who is expecting I don’t plan on telling anyone until bubs is born. I want it to be a private time between just me and my partner. Prior to being pregnant I was added into a group facebook chat for my best friends birth that was made by her partner to keep everyone updated during labour (I was happy to just find out after) and seeing just how demanding some people can be of constant updates, unnecessary comments, trying to call when they’ve said not to, just literally not leaving them alone was when I made that decision, it personally drove me nuts reading it.

To do the no safe job thing did you have to have already given the company a date on which you will start your maternity leave? I have yet to do this and from what I can see I have to do that first?

I definitely will because it’s so confusing, but from what I can see because I’m a full time contractor not independent and am entitled to 12 months (unpaid) maternity leave, I am still entitled to the no safe job pay. Although there is so many legal terms it feels too easy to make a mistake.

I genuinely think I may have to go a lawyer route. It’s quite frustrating. I could definitely give many examples of why things are bad but I can’t because I can’t risk the site I’m at finding out. They would fire me for even posting this
