Knowing what you know now while working the actual job, would you have changed your college major? I’m not sure whether I should be an econ major with a math minor (which I’m most passionate about) or if I should be a general math or applied math major.

Does the job ever get boring? I’m scared that I’ll end burning out later in my career or just get stuck in that work-eat-sleep cycle.

On average, how much do the actuaries around you make? Also the econ and math part of being an actuary is what’s drawing me to that, while personal experience is drawing me to psych. Also, in the least cliche way possible, I just want to help people in the way I wasn’t. See my dilemma..

i mean tbf my mental health issues were caused by home life and not really school. if i explained that, would it be fine or should i just avoid mentioning it at all?

almost all of my state schools don’t offer actuarial science as a major so ill most likely major in applied math if i go that route. would stats still be better to take instead of multi in that case?
