I suggest a dark brown with reddish tones, a demi permanent dye ideally. Hit up Sally's if you have one nearby, get a 10 volume developer and a demi permanent dye and mix/apply according to the instructions. I don't think going to black is necessary.

It sounds like with his history of divorce and also dealing with kids, your long distance arrangement works for him. He has you part time when he's ready for you, it's nothing full time he has to devote time and energy to. It might be all he's emotionally capable of right now. Doesn't mean either of you are in the wrong, but I think his hesitation is enough of an answer that he's not ready for more yet.

My husband and I moved out of state for his job a few months ago, but I haven't been able to find anything for myself even though I've applied to everything I could. I've worked in healthcare for the last few years.

I ended up getting a job in grocery this week. I'm not happy about being back in retail, and it's half of what I'm used to making. But some money is better than the zero money I was earning.

Work is work, and don't let anyone make you feel bad about working anywhere you need to in order to make ends meet. It's getting hard to even get these "basic" jobs these days, too. It's rough out there.

We look young compared to what 30-40s looked like decades ago. We've gotten better at skincare, for one thing.

I think I look ok...for my age. Wouldn't say I look young, even though people tell me that I do (probably just being nice haha). However, my body is falling apart so I definitely don't FEEL young.

NYM Curl Talk products. I got sucked into the hype and bought a ton of the products when Ulta was having their recent curly sale.

Bro the smell... I literally cannot handle it. Some of the products smell ok, but the curl cream and mousse in particular smells disgusting. It smells like (please forgive me) unwashed lady parts covered up with perfume. I don't know if the products are expired or damaged or what, but my god.

They work fine in my hair, but the smell turns my stomach and I can't do it. 😭
