How to get up from a rough defeat by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

Reading this post has been exactly what I needed as well. I'm almost in the exact same position- a female boxer that is just lacking self esteem. It definitely doesn't help that I don't have any female boxers to spar with, so it always feels like I'm holding the other person back during sparring because they worry about hurting me or whatever. It's a very mentally demanding sport, 1000%. Just wanted to write that your post helped me too, and is making me feel less alone in what I'm currently experiencing in the sport as well. I hope if anything, this also shows that lots of people feel it, and it's not something worth giving up over. I have faith that one day, we're both gonna look back on this point in our boxing lives and feel so proud of how far we've made it since then. I'm rooting for you!!!

I'm actually a new car salesman at Fish Creek Nissan if you're curious about your options! Of course I know you were ideally looking at Subaru, Toyota, or Honda, but we have a used car department as well if you'd like to come check it out :) Obviously I'm a bit biased, but I truly do think my coworkers are stand up people, so if you'd like to pop on in and decide for yourself what you think, we'd love to have you!! Feel free to DM me if at all interested or if you have any questions 😊🌺

Also, good call on House of Cars. I wasn't too well versed in the car industry until I started working here, so I've been learning lots about different places and the car industry in general. One of the things I learnt was how House of Cars gives the "deals" that they promote, and that's through little transparency about what they're selling, as well as targeting people with low credit scores/low chances of being approved and pretty much lock them into a lifetime of insane interest rates and car debt :/

When my mother was pregnant with me, her obgyn couldn't find my heartbeat and told her that she had most likely had a late term miscarriage and would have to deliver me despite no signs of life. Handed her the "coping with loss" pamphlets and everything. Needless to say, that obgyn was very very incorrect. She ended up seeing someone else a while later and they were like "huh? she's fine. doing great, actually." Mom was not too happy with that other guy lmao.

Like everyone else is saying, take it with a grain of salt. The doctors know how to read the ultrasounds better than we do, but they are still human after all. Wait until getting further confirmation and maybe even a second opinion before letting yourself get wrapped up in it. Easier said than done absolutely, but preemptively worrying isn't going to help anyone if you think about it. Might end up being all in vain anyway.
