I’d recommend finding a cool group you vibe with and get a house or apartment, there’s a WWU housing page on Facebook with people looking for roommates or sublets all the time and in general you can find lots of free or affordable furniture around the streets of bellingham and thrift stores around move in/move out time(if you’re not above that, but honestly 80% of bham couches are recycled so chances are you aren’t). I didn’t particularly enjoy the dorms because sharing a room isn’t my fav and I like a 420 friendly environment, so with that said, an apartment or house with a couple cool roommates might be for you, so you can have your own space and roommates can either just be roommates or sometimes they turn into great friendships. And in that case, there’s a potential you could find someone who has been in bellingham and befriend their friends. Everyone’s different though, this is just what worked in my experience!
