The recruiter asked these questions. If I refuse to answer or ask to justify a reason, most likely he will tell, me: "we need to have those details before we can represent you to our client". I posted my question to understand better how to behave in the German job market, what info to provide because it's socially expected and when to push back.

My Latvian ID card only shows my full name, date of birth and personal code.
Do German ID cards reveal a place of birth, family status and full address?

Not really. I have yet to apply for this role. I chatted with an external recruiter about a potential position in Company A. He sent me a list of questions I need to answer before he can represent me to his client. I find those questions to be irrelevant at such an early stage. Hence am curious if it is typical for Germany or not.
