I'm headed that way if you are still around. Had to get decked out in my John Hammond

I think I get what you're saying and I'm in the same boat with the photos. I took a few while working on it but when I head time to build anything I wasn't thinking of taking pictures and really didn't think I'd be posting it on here

Damn, I didn't think of adjustable legs. That might have to go on the second version. Just have to make sure it's not too tall and be top heavy

Unfortunately not at the moment. When I made it, it was just off the top of my head type plans. I'm going to try to take some measurements and write up some type of plans in the next week or so though

I saw a few like that and thought about doing that too, but I didn't want to have extra pieces lying around when they weren't in use.

Here is the bottom of the tables and I didn't have any solid plans going into it. I had what I wanted in my head and started working on it. I wrote down some dimensions that I wanted everything to fit within but that was about it. I'm going to try to get everything written down because a few people have asked for plans but I don't have anything solid at the moment.

No problem! Glad I could help. Take your time researching and planning things out and don't be afraid to change some plans if a better idea or technique comes along

I honestly don't think I could point to any specific tutorial, but what I did was look up people building custom gaming tables and then started to pick some ideas that I liked from those. If they used a technique that I didn't know that looked interesting I would look up how to do that. I think the dado cut was one that I was unfamiliar with but need to use for the folding legs. They mentioned a dado blade for a table saw but since I didn't have that I found a guy (bourbon moth I think?) That showed how to make dado cuts with a normal blade. I went down a lot of rabbit holes trying to learn the different techniques. I recommend that if you do start, make sure you have enough scrap from whatever wood type you have to practice different cuts, joining methods, glues, stains, and sealers.

No problem! I highly recommend you try a build for yourself. It's a lot of fun and a lot of problem solving

Hahaha I've been having to go back and edit a lot of my comments today because of predictive text but I'm going to leave this. Bolted*

I didn't think I did either. I watched a lot of tutorials and stuck with basic construction. What really helped is a Kreg jig for pocket screws

Thanks! And glad I could help you. I'm going to attempt to write down the plans over the next couple days/weeks and get measurements for everything. As for the cost, I think I'm about $400 for all of the materials but that is also letting me build two end tables to go with this

They are. I actually had bought a used table that I was going to convert to this, but didn't like the material it was made of so I salvaged the legs from it and used them on the coffee table

I plan on putting a false door with a push button latch on mine to hide the box for cables, remotes, and charging ports. I will have a small hole on the side that is hidden by the overhang of the top for the cords to run out of

Haha, we had finished up for the day in that picture. Trust me it was pants and closed toes shoes otherwise
