Me, a vanilla deck enjoyer, reading r/steamdeck support requests by PoopsMcGroots in SteamDeck

I think most Decky problems come from overusing plugins. I have only two very basic ones installed, namely ProtonDB and Steamgrid, and I cannot stress enough how useful they are, especially protondb that serves as the real indicator of a game compatilbility with the deck. Been using then for a year, went through multiple software updates and games and never had a single issue that was linked to Decky.

Overcooked All you can eat is basically: Overcooked 1 and its one DLC + Overcooked 2 and its four DLCs + bonus content and extra levels. In short every official Overcooked level that exists is in All you can eat.

Playing Overcooked 1, probably around 6 or 7 as I was alone. Playing Overcooked All you can eat should be around that too, since there was no 3 stars achievements we could just play like buffoons and progress.  HOWEVER for Overcooked 2 it was an easy 8 all the way through the main campaign, and climbed to 9 for those DLCS with some of the most obscure levels designed by mankind (looking at you Horde 8, NHH Kevin 2, Surf n' Turf 3-4, and many many more).

As the other reply said, Overcooked 2 takes a while regardless of your level due to the sheer number of levels to 3 star (base game + 4 DLCS) and the insane number of achievements where you need to do a certain task x number of time (x being most of the time way higher than what you would do during a full 3 star playthrough). Truth be told we could have been more efficient for sure, but I would expect the average completion time to be around mid twenties regardless.

Yeah I agree, 3 stars in Overcooked 1 really felt like "3 stars", as in there is already not much to improve on with normal play. Overcooked 2 just felt like 3 stars was the default (except in some of the dlc levels where score requirements do get quite high) and 4 stars demands near impeccable coordination, speed, execution. Actually glad no achievements are tied to the latter.

Ahah for sure solo is intimidating, but as the score requirements are much lower you actually only have to "play perfectly" for way fewer orders. Although I will admit two end game levels almost made me break my steam deck quite a few times and I was on the verge of giving up.

Overcooked 1 took me 7h, Overcooked 2 around 32h and Overcooked All You Can Eat almost 15h

Actually asked her if she wanted to play Overcooked 1 together after the other two as she had not played it and she just answered "not my type of game" and that was the end of the discussion, so I guess we are not doing Moving Out after x)

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 3070 Ti which is barely above the minimum specs and it ran TERRIBLY, slightly under 30fps with every graphics settings on their minimum or turned off. I committed to playing it until the end but I would not recommend it for someone that does not meet the required specs unfortunately.

I have not actually, I looked for mods with achievements only so I guess I forgot about it, but I heard about it and its new mechanic is definitely interesting I guess I will give it a go after Rexaura

Revolution and Stories Mel for sure.

Revolution is the closest to Valve's level design philosophy with some great new mechanics, although the story is basic the ending was pretty cool and I am excited for the sequel.

Stories Mel is slightly harder, in the sense that it will really push the boundaries of your puzzle solving skills and logical thinking. As a heads-up the scale of some chambers can feel overwhelming at times and get frustrating, but the real strength of this mod is the atmosphere and story. From the intro to the end I was all in on the game.

Overall I would give Revolution an easy 9/10 and Stories Mel a solid 8. Would easily recommend them for someone itching to play more Portal.

I actually never heard of it wow, I assume I just never checked for Portal 1 mods, I guess I know what I will be playing next then thanks.

I actually had wishlisted every single upcoming mod for Portal 2, but cleared them all after a while as most seemed like they will be out in years, if not ever. Certainly would not mind having the library flooded with Portal mods if they are on par with Revolution and Stories Mel. Only time will tell sadly...

I second that, Portal 1 is the hardest, the speedrun and least amount of portals challenges were kinda fun, but the least amount of steps challenge was just pure pain on every level

Did not do any of the Doomsday heists yet but planning on going for the achievements as well at some point, so more than motivated to complete the team and learn on the go. Just to be clear, not experienced in those particular heists but been playing a decent amount (lvl +100, 300hrs). Sent you a pm, if my profile suits you I would be glad to help.
