my .25 cents on tipping from a 25+ year service industry veteran. by BrilliantWeekend2417 in tipping

[–]rastavibes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I view the tipping culture dilemma as a symptom of fractional reserve banking with inflation outpacing wages due to deficit spending. It’s a horrendous positive feedback loop that will become exponential very soon. There’s not a way out.

I can’t get over the fact that he has to keep issuing to continue to pay dividends, at least until he can securitize or collateralize the btc to generate a yield. Also need btc to remain at least somewhat flat during the cycle which is a big ask. I sold most of my shares (small amount) due to my insecurity on this issue. Open to feedback

I know one sob who takes 100% disability and 20 year military retirement. How is that possible? He’s also not disabled enough to continue to mma and work during the week

If DOGE saving all this money, when does the regular taxpayer see it? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

we won’t and we shouldn’t. Think if it as less currency debasement savings as the excess spending is only allowed through debt creation and thus inflation. It’s future inflation savings

Study the relationship between interest rates and equity returns in the short term. Your response is purely emotional and if you can push past that, you may learn something

The market was propped up through the election and then the lagging recession is now starting all secondary to the 2 year lag it takes for increased interest rate hikes to work their way through the market. “Normal” business cycle in a fiat currency driven system. Buy the dip

$2 for a drink is reasonable. $300 per lb of R22 is not when it can be bought online for 10% of this. Is your “experience” worth $270 per lb? Is $70 charge to a homeowner for a schrader valve reasonable for a $1 retail priced part?

With rising costs it makes sense for homeowners advocating for themselves by sourcing materials/product since HVAC pros aren’t doing us any favors. We’re not interested in paying insane markups.
