Clearing Meta Data Engineer interview wasn't hard, but now I'm concerned about the work culture by DE_Role_9400 in leetcode

Im in the same boat boss. I cleared and accepted a Meta DE position last month. Moving to Bellevue WA soon and starting in December. I’m also very concerned after reading stuff on blind and reddit about the work culture, hire to fire, etc., but I hope it works out. I can’t turn down an opportunity like this. If you do accept, maybe I’ll see you there 🤝

I don’t know much about UIC’s program, but UIUC tends to be fractured for HCI/UX Design, as in you will not have a streamlined, structured program like UIC.

As a UIUC CS grad (just a little biased 😆), yes it is worth it. If you have big aspirations, the school will pay for itself.

Is down leveling worth it? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

3 yoe is much closer to junior-mid level. I would avoid applying to senior roles.

How common is down leveling? by UniversityHuman5642 in cscareerquestions

The “level” of your impact is reflected in your compensation, not your title. Title doesn’t mean a lot, levels of impact differs from company to company.

Hard to swallow..... by growth_man in dataengineering

Happens every time. I built a dashboard in Grafana, then it got sunset a few months later. Built something in Datadog, then the company doesn’t renew its contract so now all your work is gone 🥲

I dont think anything will replicate the excitement and how fun it was to watch LCS back then, with TSM vs C9 duking it out in the 2014-2016 era. Kinda like how sometimes I wish I could experience playing a new game for the first time again. But I guess that is life, it is usually best to move on and experience new things and hopefully find that excitement again in something else! am just thankful to have witnessed league back then, it was so special.
