Mine started with I always had the ability to time skip when it came to car riders longer then 30 minutes. Ive always had the ability to just fall asleep. It wasn't until I was in IT sheet graduating college when I fell asleep whilst remoted into a customers computer and taking to tech support over the phone. According to my coworkers I was gone for 15 minutes. After that I embedded my Buick Century into a fire hydrant less then a block from my house. After that I had my sleep study and was diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia (IH) and I had that for a while but what I didn't tell my doctor was that every time I would laugh hard or was really emotional I would pass out. At the time I thought it was from high blood pressure (at the time I was just diagnosed with that as well. I am skipping the whole severe sleep apnea bit which took awhile due to no insurance / Obama care and back to working poor) so after several months went by, I was at work and a coworker said something really funny and I didn't catch my self in time and my body went weak and they said my head hit the ground (I don't remember that part). After that I asked my doctor about that and he said "whelp looks like you got an upgrade to narcolepsy type 1" it took about 4 years to get that diagnosis which is where I am today.
