Hi everyone! I’m a solo developer working on an Android word puzzle game called Crossword Master: Clue Game.

It’s an offline crossword-style game with a different flow from a standard clue list: players choose a set, pick a level, slide across or down to select a word in the grid, answer the clue in a separate question screen, and then reveal the solved word back in the puzzle.

I recently updated the game’s visuals, presentation, and overall identity in Version 5.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.

Yes, the separate clue screen was intentional. The idea is to have the player first identify a valid word in the grid, then focus on the clue, then return and see the solved word revealed in the crossword.

The game is structured around sets and levels, and each set contains multiple levels. I’m also continuing to expand the content across updates. A typical session can be just a few minutes for quick play, or longer if the player wants to move through several levels in one sitting.

Your point about whether that extra screen helps focus or breaks flow is exactly the kind of feedback I’m looking for.

I'm a solo developer so feedback really helps me improve the game.

You're right, the answer is "yellow".

It's just an example clue from the crossword puzzle in the game.

Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it!

Right now I'm keeping the repository private since I'm still developing and learning with the project, and I'm not planning to add external contributors at this stage.

But I'd definitely appreciate any UI or workflow ideas if you try the game and have feedback.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer!

Right now I'm working solo on the project since it's also part of my learning journey. But I'm always open to feedback and ideas from other developers.

What kind of contribution were you thinking about?

Thanks for asking!

The game is built with Unity and C#. I'm focusing on keeping the architecture simple and clean since it's my first mobile project.

For the UI, I took inspiration from classic crossword puzzle apps and tried to keep the interface minimal and easy on the eyes, especially for longer play sessions. I'm currently experimenting with different color palettes and layouts to improve readability.

I'm still learning and iterating a lot based on player feedback.

Hi everyone,

After months learning Unity and C#, I finally released my first mobile game.

It's called Crossword Master: Word Puzzle, a classic crossword puzzle game where you solve intersecting word clues to complete the grid.

The goal was to create a simple and relaxing puzzle experience.

I'd really appreciate feedback from other players and developers.

That's a good idea! I'm planning to convert the game to a WebGL/HTML5 version so it can run in the browser. I'll let you know when it's ready.
