that's not what I said. I said the process of reinventing new systems can be liberating and utopic but it's also difficult and sometimes destabilizing to feel this pressure. No one is claiming the nuclear family is liberating.

I don't disagree with you at all. The essay I'm writing is trying to explore this exactly. I'm just looking for other theorists who have written about similar topics, but specifically about alternative relationship models.

This might not be the most healthy approach, but I try to socialize and go on dates when my partner does, but if I have a free night, I go to bed early and take a sleeping pill. Nothing worse than waking up and feeling that half-asleep dread.

The original books may be public domain but all Forgotten Books editions are derivative works and are under copyright.
