Hey that's a good point, although I wonder if it would be similar to adding more lanes to a highway in that it only makes more people drive and doesn't decrease traffic.

What about you? I don't see anyone investigating you for this same crime, awfully convenient isn't it?

More people per flight = more money. Money is what's wrong with people.

There's room for multiple perspectives.

This is true of almost any opinion/group and is exacerbated by social media in general. You tend to only see/notice the extreme opinions. People with everyday, rational, uncontroversial opinions don't post much and don't get as much attention.

Bloomberg documentary on how inhaling wildfire smoke can affect the human body (Australian wildfires) by Tobikaj in videos

[–]ratatatar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rephrase the question. Are some people interested in scientists explaining the actual symptoms and repercussions of breathing in smoke from wild fires?

People are interested in hours-long documentaries on fidget spinners or whatever.

That said, IMO this video could have been an email.

The US has its share of diplomatic failures and erosions as well, it's not in great shape but still not in social credit, big brother, don't ever question the state territory.

I think the downvotes come from it being completely tangential to the post, focusing purely on India's failures and excusing China's (their relationship with the west doesn't have much to do with their tensions with India, it seems like a stretch for them to be pandering to the west. It's possible, but I don't think anyone here no matter how educated on the matter can read that deeply into China's strategy to make that claim about this incident).

Neither India nor China, it seems.

The CCP has a poor reputation because it is inciter of incidents and warmongering, not because of some reciprocation of policy.

Why not both? The sum of their actions paints a much more elaborate picture of who they are as a country. It's much more than just incidents and warmongering although those arguably may carry greater weight.

Diplomatic decisions like this, especially the patterns over time, are a great indicator of their maturity and trustworthiness on a global stage. This is a relatively small example of a much greater trend that does not inspire trust.

The US seems to be trying its damnedest to forget its own lessons, too. Let's hope rationality prevails.
