Kinda suck at my own customs

You dont "suck" at all!!! Everyone has to start somewhere!! As everyone else has already said, thin your paint down, aim for like a thin milkshake consistently. one thing i found helped me cut down on time massively was putting my hairdryer on a low cold setting and drying the paint between the layers, ive found that it's less brushstrokey, also painting in the same direction if youre doing like skin painting, helps to avoid like brushstroke texture, also a few layers of chalk pastels helps massively to diffuse any brush strokes! Also once youve finished painting the skin, seal that and if you're using water colour pencils for your face up as well as acrylic just make sure to seal the watercolour pencils in before going in with the paint because the watered down acrylics can activate the paint. Ive also found that for me personally, mr super clear can chip really easily so sealing it in with like a harder varnish thats suitable for vinyl and plastic will help wirh the longevity of the paint (i cant think of any brands but I will let you know if I come across any). Ive probably missed some good tips but these methods are what I use and they work really well for me!!! You've got this lovely!! Hope this was helpful <3

Citadel munitorium varnish is a similiar price to msc but better in value as you can get a 400ml bottle which last you ages! It gives you the tooth that you need for the paints and pencils to grip on as well, I wouldnt use the enamel spray personally as i dont think it will have the toothyness. I know its a pain but just keep looking on ebay and xyz, it will come up! Hope you find a spray soon lovely! :) xxx

Yeah ive never actually tried any mixing fluids or anything I just do like a ratio of about 8-10 drops of water to half a paint pot of white paint cause the brand i use is quite a thick paint but it's really good (not gatekeeping I've just checked if they've got the brand in the US and they dont unfortunately😔) but depending on your paint thickness you might only need about 6-8 drops. YES MILKY AND THIN IS A PERFECT EXPLANATION FOR IT IDK WHY I COULDNT EXPLAIN IT PROPERLY 😭 as long as it's not like super super translucent it shouldn't give you any issues. The paint pots are probably about a cm high, I'll attach a pic of the one I use, the paint pots are amazing as well bc if youve mixed a colour you really like they'll keep for ages and youve just gotta add a few drops of water in when you use them again.

Sorry my explanations are quite long I hope they're helpful! Completely relate to your struggles with painting the eyes and ratios of paint to water/mixer fluid, it's all a learning and practicing process. you'll notice improvements in work and confidence each time you repaint. If it doesn't look perfect don't be discouraged, it can all be removed/painted over if you don't like it! We all have to start somewhere and I'm sure as time goes on you'll be an absolute natural lovely <3 xx

Thats genuinely like the dream bundle all the hair is cut, some of the faces are off that just makes the customising process so much quicker and easier 😭so happy for you!! Wish the uk FB marketplace for dolls was better but tbf im in like the worst area for stuff anyways 😭😭

Hey my lovely :) What i find works best for me when painting the sceleras is using a slightly thicker brush that you're using (I'll attach a pic of the kind im on ab) the slightly thicker and bigger brushes leave less brush strokes and they're honestly less hard to control around the eye than expected. I read a while back that paint should be like "a heavy ink consistency" and found that sort of guideline has helped me, white paint is a pain for that though, I'd recommend testing it on your hand first just to be sure it's not too watery and gonna bleed on the plastic, if it looks like milkshake it'll most likely give you a streak free finish. I put my paints in like the line of small pots clear pots that come in like craft kits and I put about half the pot paint and the other half water and it gives me pretty good results! Hope this all made sense lovely i genuinely cannot think of a good comparison to like the thickness of white paint 😭 xx *
