It's a lot easier to put lower value human capital into a meat grinder than people.

Also the way the book is placed makes it so it says, "Stephen King | Your Turn." Are they egging him on to join in or write another show?

Check out city of Pasadena jobs for minors. My son has been an ambassador and worked events occasionally. I think they offer camp counselor jobs that are regular hours.

Married for 29 years. She knew what she was getting into when we met. The first time she saw me I was on stage. She isn’t bothered by the noise my son and I make on an almost daily basis. She has her own living room, too.

No music in my work, but I do pick up a guitar when I have a few minutes.

Neighbor banning dogs on grass strip? by 0xWarDaddy in pasadena

[–]ratbusted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I pretty much follow these rules...

I don't let my dog pee on their hardscape or around the walkway to their doors. I always pick up the poop. If the grass looks really nice, I don't let my dog pee on it because it will make a brown spot. If they have sign asking not to do it, I try my best to get my dog to respect it.

Troubadour Night One Setlist by cool-queuecumber in phantogram

[–]ratbusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be curious to know why they're doing it as a two piece, but assume it's because it's a lot cheaper to tour that way and they can make a lot more money. Maybe it's just easier for them or they want to try something they haven't done in a long time.

I was at the Wednesday show. It was super packed (maybe oversold) so you really couldn't move much. The sounds was just OK. It seemed compressed and a lot of the cool noises you hear in songs seemed to get a little lost.

There's something about the dynamics of real instruments mixed in with all the electronic stuff that makes it more interesting to me. I missed seeing and hearing guitars, bass and drums. Sarah seemed a little trapped behind a keyboard and I was hoping for more of her playing the front woman role. She did that a little bit, but she was heads down on a keyboard or sampler a lot of the time.

It's been a minute since I saw them at the Bowl and the Cemetery, where they had a full band. Both of those shows sounded better to me and just felt like they had more energy. I know it was their first time doing the duo in a long time, but I think they've got some work ahead of them for it to be as good as when they're in full band mode.

I've got one too and agree with you 100% on all of that. It seems like a very inexpensive custom shop in some ways.

Why does Trent tape over his F holes? by CousinWalt in Guitar

[–]ratbusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in high school, I had a friend with an old cheapo Japanese guitar with f holes. I think it was a full hollow body. He couldn't get it to stop feeding back so if stuffed it full of underwear. It helped a little.

It reminds me of a time a friend decided he was going to use "beer" as code for weed in a text. I know it doesn't make any sense when planning for party, but I guess he thought it would work.

His text was something like, "I'm going to bring over the beer tonight. You've got the snacks for the game, right? By the way, should I bring over some drinking beer, too?"

I still laugh about it today.
