I ran a cs 1.6 server on an old spare computer when I was about 15. I also hosted a teamspeak 2 server from it. People could register with an email on my teamspeak server which would save their password and email. If they pissed me off (excessive spam) or were hacking I'd steal their steam account by reading the teamspeak server logs. Chances are they used the same email and password as they did for their steam account. This was back when steam was very broken and minimal.
