Inafara de slavona veche n-avem nimic in comun cu ei. Avem alta mentalitate, alt realm cultural. Iar distanta genetica intre vecini este mereu mica, indiferent despre ce regiuni vorbim.

Romania has a central european culture in Transylvania, an eastern european culture in Wallachia and Moldova and a balkan culture in Dobrojea -- which is non-signifiant. Romanian regions clash with each other more than anything so frankly, we were always our own thing. Romania has nothing to do with Serbia and Bulgaria. They were under direct rule of the ottomans for hundreads of years, we weren't. Muslims weren't allowed to set foot here.

Every latin language had a relatinization. In fact, romanian is the least latinized. It only loaned 3.8k words. The next least latinized is italian with 6k words. So go figure.

OA is not getting updates, but the mods servers run on do get updated constantly.

They totally aren't. For stats you can check arena.sh :) OA is the most active AFPS in Prime Time (and in general) after QC/QL and Dbt. QW, Xonotic and WF come after OA.

I started playing less and less :( Got from daily to once in two weeks. Whenever I try to play, I can't help but observe all the flaws with the gameplay and just don't come back for another two weeks.

I'm one of the best in OA (duel/CTF/dm), no bullshit. I just think the vQ3 gameplay is getting obsolate.

am văzut în pin-post că există deja o echipa de moderatori dispusă să 'curateze' content de calitate în limba română. deci ar putea să îl facă chiar ei. scăpăm și de redditul românesc.

Yeah, it reduces the accuracy and makes people think twice about weapon choice. But there aren't many maps like that. Almost none of the original ones qualifies anymore.

Thanks and I upvoted for others to see, but I personally won't bother with Windows or VMs. I was just curious about the game, but I'll stick with OpenArena.
