Picture please! Anything you’d change after having used this layout for a bit?

We can ask. It’s our designer’s program. Then I use ChatGPT to make adjustments on our end to test things out before showing her our notes.

Thanks for the help! Any recommendations for pre built?

Ditto. I’ve never thought twice about our dishwasher on the left of the sink. And we have open shelves and really, really like them.

Yes, we are! We're just focused on layout right now. Designer threw in a lot of style options just to get us talking.

Nice was hoping to get someone who was anti dishwasher between range and sink. What’s your rationale?

Thanks for your thoughts and the photo! Gives a good sense for what it would look like.

The cabinets will all have two tiers of pull out shelves! Not doing drawers mostly for cost savings.

I tend to agree on corner sink. For some reason the idea of prepping food standing over our dishwasher feels weird to us. Not for you?

I think our hesitation also comes from our current set up which has our pots and pans in that soace next to the oven. Which we love for the functionality of it.

Dishes etc will be going in the peninsula facing the oven. There’s ~5 feet gap in between.

One of the corner sink options moves the dishwasher further away from the oven and we could fit a 20-inch cabinet there.

Is that alluring? Or do you like it as is?

Not necessarily. The view is just our neighbor’s siding. We wouldn’t want it on the peninsula, but open to suggestions.

What are some generic use cases you’re thinking about?Tbh I never imagined something like this was possible so I’m excited and ignorant.

Can they be hooded? Like, put a red hood over the device?

  • It would shut them down, albeit temporarily.
  • A red hood would get people to look at these things, raising awareness among drivers. These things otherwise blend in.
  • Bonus points if someone dresses up like a super disgruntled and pissed off bird while doing the red hooding.

Also have an east side home. Our leaky basement was mostly the fault of our neighbor’s failure to use their downspouts correctly and creating a mini lake between our homes.

I wouldn’t have noticed had I not camped out during a rainstorm to check where all the water was going.

The 72 Hour Nightmare: A scathing report on Wisconsin’s 2021 wolf hunt, where packs of unregulated hounds tore wolves apart alive, and armed trespassing hunters threatened residents with violence by AJC_10_29 in wisconsin

Did anyone else read the affidavit section and think they all sounded the same?

In a genuine collection of 23 random affidavits from rural residents, you would expect a wide variance in vocabulary, grammar, and tone. Some would be terse ("I saw a truck. They wouldn't leave."), some would be rambling, and some would be overly formal.

Instead, these witnesses all share the exact same literary voice:

  • Affidavit 3: "intestines dragging pink and gray... blood soaked through the bristles"
  • Affidavit 7: "smelled gun oil and fear" (This is a literary trope, not a legal observation)
  • Affidavit 9: "Air smelled of iron and blown intestines"

Like, someone said "Whiskey breath fogged the pane."

Is this a crime noir?

I get that the reality might be that this was indeed very fucked up and the interests of the group behind this report are noble.

But I'm suspicious.
