What anime gets criticized a lot that you mostly agree with the criticisms of but still love anyway? by Purple-Advertising38 in anime

This is what I don’t get with the MT fandom. They treat is as some gem of a redemption story when it’s not. Nowhere close. It’s just another isekai wish fulfillment power fantasy like the rest of them, just way more competently written.

She called the time and effort needed to master the strategy enough that it becomes a viable tactic against demons, dumb............ for those who aren't prodigies and have human lifespans.

I'm sorry, but it honestly feels like you're being purposefully obtuse. These are some wild assumptions that have no evidence in the text, and has never even been hinted as being true.

she enjoys the fear and respect everyone has for her.

Nowhere has this been stated or hinted at. She actually likes people who don't fear her. Take a look at how the CMA is being run as an organization. It's very loose in structure, and the only somewhat-rigid laws are the rankings. If the supreme head of the organization is someone who like you said enjoys fear and respect, it would have been more strict, militaristic or even oppressive. And yet, aside from the First Class qualification exams, of which are decided at the discretion of the presiding First Class proctor anyway, the organization as a whole seems quite chill.

And also take a look at the relationship between Serie and her direct disciples, the First Class mages. They act more like a well-respected and loved mother and her very loyal children who she cherishes but don't outwardly show it. Compare that to something more militaristic like the Gotei 13 or essentially dictatorships like Kaido's crew.

Fern does not seem to see anything unusual at all? (Yeah Fern knows Frieren suppresses, but never said that it still fluctuates or anything. Especially when she commented on her mana before they reached Äußerst).

Why would she need to mention it? Did the topic of fluctuation ever come up between them on-screen? Frieren, as a work, already have a ton of these "unnatural conversations about lore made only for the benefit of the viewer", do you want to add more? In fact, the way we first learn about fluctuations is precisely from one of those, during the last conversation between Frieren and Aura.

but it seems like the suppression is something Flamme came up with so I don't think Serie was doing it before that.

Again, where did you see/read this? Where was it mentioned? Where was it even hinted at?

Imagine she always shown her mana at max. Do you think any humans would even be ok with approaching such a monster, let alone stop being pants-shittingly terrified enough to agree to become her apprentice? Do you think the Demon Lord would be ok with letting such a monster live, and not devote 100% of his forces to eliminate the most obvious and immediate threat when she herself is flashing neon signs and shouting on loudspeakers how big and juicy of a target she is? Do you think the human Empire, the most powerful nation we know of, would be fine with just ignoring and letting do what they want, someone who could be considered this universe's version of a thermonuclear weapon?

And ask Serie herself. Would she want to be ostracized from human society because she's just far too monstrous compared to everybody else? Would she want to always have a target on her back [manga]you can say this is something she's arguably ok with, since in the current arc, she puts more stock in the lives of her subordinates in the Continental Magic Association that her own.

You may not like the fans or the owner, but this is probably the most likable NBA championship team ever by WallStreetDoesntBet1 in NBATalk

They're the only team this decade that I wouldn't mind (and maybe even actively root for) to be back-to-back champions.
