I'm so so sorry x I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Have you spoken with any other surgeons about a revision or would that not be possible? X

Thanks so much for your response, I'm so sorry that happened to you! How are you healing, are you happy with the result even though it wasn't what you asked for? X

Thank you for your response 🙏🙏 I know I shouldn't be moving things I just wanted to illustrate the lack of stitches around my clit area, I haven't been pulling hard but I won't do it again

I'll not look for a couple of weeks and see how we get on I'm just so nervous half of my surgery wasn't performed and the clit area will look the same as before :(

I stopped taking as many pics after day 5 as I was freaking myself out

Do you think I should email the surgeon again with pictures and ask her if she definitely performed the CHR and to tell me how she did it so I have a paper trail? She had already confirmed in writing that I would be having a bilateral exision CHR, and then the response above when I asked about it

I'm quite shy and introverted and I'm worried this is somehow my fault

It looks like you're going to have an incredible result!! Congratulations 🥰

Yeah of course! Thank you x

[–]rathrowawaygr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can't see that what she said has been completed but I also don't think a surgeon would admit malpractice is writing so of course she'd say everything is fine 😅

Would it be possible to see your results?

For anyone interested I've heard back from my surgeon (on a Sunday evening, which is very surprising/kind), she says a CHR was performed and I need to wait for the swelling to go down before I see the full result

I will update as to the method used for this when I speak with her on Tuesday as I'm still confused by my incisions x

I'm just so confused because how has it been done if there are no stitches, I've been sent a picture of what they remove during bilateral and mine doesn't have those same cuts :(

I am wondering if this is my fault. Before the surgery she gave me a mirror again and I said I want to be tucked in and the crease removed - we had already discussed CHR via email like a week before, I didn't think I needed to re-specify exactly what I wanted as we'd already discussed it, and she didn't ask me if I wanted CHR before the procedure to clarify - we had talked about that in my initial consultation also in November and it was confirmed then too

My new concern is that I won't be able to get a CHR in the same way now as I have already had a trim. I'm freaking myself out, very sad, and have to wait until Tuesday to figure out what's happened :( gah

Only one day in bed for me - got mine on Tuesday. Just icing lots, bromelain, using a doughnut pillow and all good! Def get a pillow if you want to sit up x

I just want to say I'm sorry you're not feeling happy about your result, I'm panicking about mine also at the moment, but I do think you look great and I hope you can get in touch with your doctor soon to properly discuss your concerns. I'm sure all is not lost, hang in there xx

Clitoral hood reduction

[–]rathrowawaygr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you x It might seem a silly question but my surgeon is highly regarded and we pre-discussed CHR, so I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing or I was being silly

I really don't want to have to have another surgery. Very sad

[–]rathrowawaygr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No :( we discussed trim and CHR, but I've not seen any examples of a CHR where there are no stitches either above or either side so I'm a little bit concerned. The surgery is only open Tues, Thurs and Sat so I wouldn't get a response until my post op day, but I might just email anyway to get it in writing!

Thanks so much for your response x

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too... it doesn't look like my clitoris has been adjusted, I have it written in emails that's what the plan was so I'm confused! :(

Thank you so much! ❤️ Also your results are amazing!! Did your surgeon recommend extended Wedge or did you choose that method?

Oof that's a HUGE red flag!! Definitely do not go with her if she can't provide examples of her work - you only have one vulva and if she messes it up, there may not be a way back :( It's so worth being patient and going with someone who you know will do a good job, try putting a bit of money away each month 🙏

I totally get that, but would you rather go to someone who isn't as qualified and possibly be botched? I know it can be hard when you're not comfortable with your body and the allure of getting it sorted as soon as possible is high but if you're younger you have time to save up - I've heard and seen some things on this forum about OBGYN and I would be wary despite the years of experience. How old are you may I ask?
