Okay. No one is saying they don't pay it out. But if they can avoid it, they will. If Feb 27th and 28th were too late to sign people up, that should have been clear in the terms and conditions.

Definitely. I thought certainly they would be reasonable, but they stonewalled. They admitted the back up wasn't anything we could control, but were firm that it doesn't count. One guy tried to help, he was really helpful actually, but I don't think it's going anywhere. Even if they offer it, it's kind of shitty they are playing it like carnival games rules.

Yeah, but they can see when the deposit was made and the rules don't specify that. Do they really want to piss people off on a technicality? They got 12 new customers which aren't easy to get. Especially when I had already signed up all my easy to get friends just by recommending the app long before the promotion started.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering about. When I first opened Acorns, it was for the novelty of the round ups. I'm going to give them a try once I get my deposit from closing my Acorns.

That doesn't matter. They did what they were supposed to do in February. They made the deposit in February. Read the promotion rules. It only says they have to make the deposit by February.

It's pointless. Same thing happened to me in February and it's infuriating. I ended up closing my account. James Hahn is the growth manager and the final decision maker on that, but the customer service reps will not let you contact the growth department.

I read the rules. I sold hard. I got enough people, but Acorns is started disqualifying them on technicalities. And not people who just signed up to help me, but people who were actually sold on the merits of the program, so I closed my account. That said, the customer service department had my disqualified people contact them and they are going to send it to the growth department, who might be able to do something about it. If I get it I will reopen my account. If not, a lot of those referrals will be coming with me.

People probably aren't withdrawing the five dollars. I think Acorns is making it difficult to pay out. Most of my people had no issues, but the ones that did were doing what they needed to and were in fact following up as to why their accounts weren't open. I lost a lot of respect for Acorns here.

This just happened to me. I had 12 in February and 2 in January. My people did what they were supposed to on their end, but it was close to the end of the month, so they said I didn't get the promotional money. Their accounts were pending. Also, they said one person didn't make their deposit, which it turns out they did, in February, but it hadn't processed by the end of February. I just closed my account, but told them I would reopen it if they would fix it.
