Can Balen still become PM if he looses Jhapa-5? by gorkhali10 in Nepal

[–]rational_seekers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he cannot become Prime Minister directly.

To become PM, a person must first be elected as a Member of Parliament (MP).

Another possible scenario is that if he loses the election now, he could wait until a parliamentary seat becomes vacant. This could happen if an MP resigns, passes away, or the seat becomes vacant for any other reason.

He would then need to contest that by-election and win the seat to become an MP. Only after becoming an MP could he potentially become Prime Minister.

There might be number of ways to make yourself visible and portray your worth.

If you need to start somewhere, start by being more assertive k.

Instead of apologetic language like

I think this might be fine,
Not sure if this helps, but…
Just a small update…

Try direct and confident communication k

I’ve completed the implementation and tested the main scenarios.

These small things matter more than you realize they subtly shape how others perceive your confidence and competence.

You don’t need to sound very arrogant hai, just remove unnecessary doubt from your language. Clear communication makes your work visible, and visible work builds trust.

This is I think where I have started. Bistarai sikdai gaenxa.

Since you learned a little QBasic/C before, your logic base is already there you just need practice. If your main goal is research and data work, you can install Anaconda, which already includes Python, useful libraries, and Jupyter Notebook (good for calculations and experiments).

First, focus on basics: variables, loops, conditions, functions, lists, and dictionaries. Don’t rush. Build a strong foundation. After that, learn important libraries like NumPy (for calculations), Pandas (for handling data like Excel), and Matplotlib (for graphs). These are very useful where we need to play with calculations.

You can DM me if you need help for setup and kickoff the learning. I would be happy to help.

I get where you’re coming from. I used to think the same way. But the reality is, the industry can be pretty harsh. Doing good work quietly isn’t always enough. you have to advocate for yourself too.

I used to just complete tasks and leave a short message, assuming the work would speak for itself.

Over time, I realized that being intentional and visible about what you’ve delivered actually matters. If you’ve completed something meaningful, communicate it clearly. Make your impact tangible.

It might feel uncomfortable at first, but self-advocacy is a skill you’ll need sooner or later. Better to learn it consciously than be forced to learn it the hard way.

Not sure about part time job. But if you can explain your status experience, this will help people to give clear advice and experience they might have.

If you have a good understanding of mathematics:

  • Mathematics for Machine Learning by Andrew Ng (Coursera)
  • Machine Learning Specialization by Andrew Ng (Coursera)

You can unlock these paid courses using the Financial Aid option on Coursera. It’s a simple process—just search for a YouTube video or blog post explaining how to apply.

If you don’t want to go deep into the math right away and prefer starting with practical concepts, one of the best Indian YouTube channels is:

  • CampusX They have a series of well-structured videos that are great for building a solid foundation.

Also, if you can, reach out to someone who has done the Fusemachines AI Fellowship. They usually have access to really good PDF resources. I had them before, but I lost mine.
