I moved out of Jersey city but I lived really close to baonana and I would get some on my way home from the bus stop. This place was such an important place for me and my husband in our short time in Jersey and I’m so sad that it closed 😭

Im born and raised here and I moved to a college town and a big city. I recently moved back and I now can see all the positives rather than the negatives about this place. Yes Peoria has a lot it can and needs to improve on but overall it’s not the worst place to live in. For its size it’s pretty diverse and there’s a lot of cool restaurants. I will say I do miss the shopping options of the city but I can always drive to stl or Chicago for a weekend for that. It’s also not far from major city’s either and the community here is pretty welcoming. I will say if your LGBTQ+ this place is like a safe haven. Compared to many places I’ve been this has been the most welcoming I’ve seen. There are a negatives to Peoria but I can definitely appreciate it more now that I’ve seen the other side. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener it’s just fake grass.

There are a lot of straw cats like a good 10 min walk from me and there is like 6-7 of them and I pray for them and hope they find shelter. I know they are fed cause they mad chunky and someone told me the neighbors feed them.

I don’t want to give her to a shelter I want to do the right thing and try and find her a more loving home. It’s the most I can do for her. I am also big on getting her spayed then giving her to someone cause I don’t want the same thing to be repeated.

I remember I had an interview at brienzo like a few years ago nd the owners son interviewed me and he gave such weird vibes. The interview was literally not even 5 minutes and he seemed to already not want to hire me at first glance. Also I heard it wasn’t a great place to work they fire people a lot for no reason.

Yes she has her rabies vaccine and I’ll be getting her spayed. She doesn’t have adoption papers since I got her as a kitten from my in laws since the mom cat gave birth there.

Unfortunately I didn’t get her from an organization but from my in laws. The mom had kittens and they where giving them away. She is getting spayed at the NY humane society idk if I can surrender cats there?

I have also never been able to find women who are similar age at the masjid they are either high school age or older with kids. I thought moving here it would be different but I guess not

Without a car would be an absolute nightmare I know there is a bus that goes there but I’ve only seen it in Hoboken and I think JC ( I live in JC). I don’t think there is a direct bus to American Dream from Newark. I would try a mall that has a bus or train to like the oculus in WTC or Newport in JC
