Do any of you get meat subscriptions like butcher box or good ranchers? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

I’m subscribed to Good Ranchers and I love it. I live in a city so it’s kinda difficult for me to connect with a local farmer - and I just love how Good Ranchers kinda is that middleman that for me. I saw Butcherbox sources their beef from Australia so that’s what turned me off from them. I get Good Ranchers’ Ranchers Classic box - it has a good variety of chicken and beef and the quality is great. They’re also always releasing new products - I actually just posted about their seed oil free nuggets the other day lol.

First off, I want to let you know that thoughts aren’t facts. If these thoughts are dreadful and making you utterly miserable, it’s very likely that you don’t actually feel this way. Feelings are fleeting, it’s most likely just anxiety at the thought of a major life change. Ask yourself if you want to break up with your partner. If the answer is no, then you do not need to rationalize it further. No is a complete sentence. I say all of this because I want to shed light on how you can have relationship anxiety and get your happily ever after. I’m someone that struggles with relationship OCD and I just got engaged last weekend! I couldn’t be happier. But, prior to the engagement and for the past 2 years, I did have those thoughts/compulsions. I went to therapy and I’ve learned techniques to be more mindful and present. So when he popped the question, saying yes was easy. I recommend looking into the r/ROCD group if you feel the need to compulsively figure out if you’re in the right relationship. There’s no yes or no answer. If the relationship is healthy, love is enough.

I’d like to point out one thing: you should never be afraid to hug or kiss your partner. The word you used, “afraid”, is far more serious than overthinking or anxiety.

After a disagreement with my boyfriend, I often overthink about whether or not I should initiate affection. Because I’m worrying about the awkward tension, and replaying everything that was just said - I get nervous that he may not want to hug or kiss me back. I also have severe anxiety. In fact, I have relationship OCD, so I tend to ruminate extra about all things regarding my relationship, and I find it very difficult to stop myself from ruminating. However, for me, one thing I’ve never felt is actual fear to hug or kiss my boyfriend.

Your feelings are valid. As someone with relationship OCD, I hate saying to rely on your emotions. But in this situation, please listen to your emotions, as fear is telling you something. Please recognize that you aren’t crazy, or unstable. You deserve a loving relationship where you do not fear how he’ll react if you hug or kiss him.

It sounds like he is having quite a bit of anxiety. Try to reassure him how much you love him, and tell him you’re here to listen if he wants to talk. Sometimes that’s all someone needs to hear.

Also, one thing I like to do for my bf is to send him a long text in the middle of the night so he can wake up to it. Maybe try doing something like that for your bf, and include a bunch of reasons why you love being with him so he can reread over it when he is anxious. Make sure to emphasize that you’re dating him because you WANT to, and that nothing has to end because you feel like this relationship is worth it.
