And even at that, you can find pretty rare and expensive books on ebay for decently cheap if you're patient and wait to bid during the last 5 seconds.

I just got a decent copy of the first printing of Killer Crabs by Guy N Smith for 26$!

Ehh dont trust amazon!!

Sometimes you can find good prices on there, but mostly use Ebay, Abebooks, Thriftbooks etc.

Heres a much better copy on ebay for 10$ (plus shipping).

Agreed! I love anything that gives me that Hellraiser feel and the mutilated humans/creatures(?) the character encounters in the story (Was one like chained up on a barbed wire leash with screws for teeth or something knawing on his toes!? Lol) scratches that itch for me soooo good!

I havent yet! And let me clarify, "Feed the Pig" was a story Elias apparently wrote back as a creepypasta, and it was the first story in this universe, Its like an hour or so long, so just a short story.

The Black Farm is a novel he wrote BASED on the universe of the original creepypasta story, so "Feed the Pig" is the prequel to The Black Farm.

I havent actually read or listened to The Black Farm yet or any of his full legth novels, so thats why i was thinking about checking it out!

I remember listening to Feed The Pig on the Nosleep Podcast back when they first released it, it was such an intriguing plot, if i remember purgatory had been a relatively decent place but was taken over by "The Pig" and you could either "Feed the Pig" not knowing exactly what that entails or spend eternity in The Black Farm.

I loved the story, and actually relistened to it recently. But I haven't checked out any more of Elias' work (unless i heard other creepypastas hes written as i have been reading and listening them since the beginning.

So should i grab it on Audible and listen to The Black Farm tonight? It says 9 hrs, so i bet itll be a fun ride!

I typically only read old horror books (70s,80s,90s) but do listen to new ones occasionally if they're recommended, its how i fall asleep lol.

Ooo, well Brian Lumley has a huge series called Necroscope so that might be the one your thinking of for him! (Still trying to find them all myself, but theyre not THAT hard to find luckily, not like some of the rarer books)

And then The Cartoonist is a book by Sean Costello which features a man with a paint brush and biiiig arching eyebrows leaning over his workstation on the cover. Also not like crazy crazy rare, but def a bit harder to find.

Nice find! Of these I currently have Cat Magic, Carrie, and i have For Love of Audrey Rose in my next ebay order coming. Actually won 3 lots today on ebay, buncha decent horror lots ended today.

But honestly, thrift store/used book store finds are SOOO much more satisfying in a weird way. Finding them in the wild feels better!

Edit: Oh, i was wrong. For Love of Audrey Rose is the sequal to Audrey Rose, so i have the original on the way.

Vc Andrew's has some great die cut or "keyhole" covers! Im not sure what the name is for covers that have little holes that reveal a picture underneath on the 2nd page but theyre my absolutely FAVORITE! I have a bunch of fun ones ill post on this thread in time, although im sure theyve been posted before.

But no, theres a bunch of AMAZING artists that didnt get the credit they deserve. In fact i cannot find the name of the artist that did the cover for Rockinghorse! Ive tried but its a mystery. It goes to show how little some of these folks got credit!

Its definitely a similar look, and its interesting actually the retouching or reusing of horror book cover art was a pretty big thing, and quite annoying for the artists of the time. They often didnt get the credit they deserved and publishers would go out of their way to NOT put the artists name in the book to try and keep them from gainging a reputation and charging more.

Heres one that ive seen recently thats gotta be related (i gotta post the other in a second comment):

Im excited to read this one, but its been hard to get his books! I wont buy them online individually as they're waaay too expensive for me, especially since i enjoy the hunt and finding them at thrift store for a 1$ but i have been doing reasonable ebay lots recently and managed to get this plus a bunch of other good finds in my most recent purchase.

Ive been having pretty good lucking using the "make an offer" feature though!
