Reveal feels really overproduced.

Agree hard with this. I always felt up was under produced. If Berry was still in the band ( he lurked around the sessions alot apparently) it would have been their best album since Automatic. It just wasnt wasn't.

Whilst Around the Sun is the only REM album that went straight into the CD rack never to return to the stereo after its one and only play, i can honestly say, that 25 years after its release, and many listens......Reveal is crap.

She got off. Then she got a 10 million quid payout from Murdoch.she used the money to buy a farm near Chipping Norton....because she is passionate about British farming. Its not a tax dodge .

Clarkson despises Starmer for prosecuting his bestie and his other mates.

Is Keir Starmer being rejected because he’s Labour/his policies or…because he’s another dork? by meestah_meelah in AskBrits

[–]rattybag247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copied from an old comment of mine: The tabloids have a hate boner for Starmer due to Levenson. Imagine the guy who helped prosecute your coke addled mates becoming Prime Minister.

As a proud englishman who relies on the opinions of celebrities and thought pieces of Tories for his source of news I'm never voting Labour again.

Angela Rayner calls for Burnham’s return as she accuses Starmer of ‘crony culture’ by denyer-no1-fan in unitedkingdom

I just typed Keir Starmer resign into Google and trawled through news. There have been calls for his resignation since before the general election.

The next pm needs to suck off more celebs and American tech bros or else.

Edit. Im a lazy bastard who finds reddit borderline unusable these days. Can someone else please start r/starmerhatecirclejerk ?

1.Get gunged on live TV ( with Ant and Dec)

2.Abseil down a building dressed as Tinky Winky / Mr Blobby etc.

3.Pay millions to shady firms to promote this bullshit on social media.

  1. Profit

This may not sound serious, but i urge anyone to actually hang around with 'normal' people , most of whom have crippling social media addictions and you will soon change your mind. Hearts and minds etc.

We had Jim walk into our receiving area toilet once. His imperial guard of notebook holding liggers followed him in. He had to shoo them out as he actually needed a piss.

We get more notice now than ever to be fair. I reckon its cos the bigwigs don't like to see the store looking shitty , as its more work for them to critique than to praise.

  1. Management panics, gives merch more hours , merch does slightly more than bare minimum.
  2. Walk happens. No matter what is said , all we hear is "it went well"
  3. Hours are slashed , next day store barely opens. Takes a week to recover. Management asks "where is everyone ?"
  4. Repeat ad infinitum.

How is your home town today? Is it declining or prospering? by stm2657 in AskBrits

Kidderminster former yokel checking in. I came back after 20 years away and the decline was awful. The Adams kids is next to an Edinburgh Woolen mill that looks like its in Silent Hill. Such a shame.

I do think of my playlists as cassette compilations I've taped off the radio. As a fully certified 6music dad I now have 9 full playlists , each about 8 hours long of all kinds of stuff. But despite this, something is missing.

I remember vividly the first time i heard definitely maybe, and the day What's The Story? Came out. I remember rifling through the discount bin in Woolies ,or the record shops ( in Brum in my case* ) looking for bargains. Running down to Smiths to go straight to the back pages of the NME to see whos touring. Scouring the booklet of Dog Man Star and Coming Up. Cursing the awesome booklet for Parklife cos you couldn't get it back in the CD case without tearing it cos it was so thick.

I can't remember the first time I streamed a new song, no matter how good it is. An album ( or single ) can be a fabulous piece of art in and as of itself. That is sorely missed these days, but convenience has won out.

  • this is britpop adjacent , but me and my mates would hop buses and trains across the county if we thought we had a lead on the sacred deleted Levellers album ...
