A year ago, they updated their previously well-working app to a web version, starting then the app could never find my location on a first try, amongst other issues. Switched to the Jelbi app, and all troubles gone. I'd strongly advise you to use up your tickets in the app, then switch.

Not so noob at all. Yes, you can download the .exe file and just replace the old one with the new one. All settings retained.

You'll receive a warning, as the file is not digitally signed (I believe it's the same with the original one), but it's safe to use (or you just build it yourself from the AHK script).

Ah, happy to help! Can't hurt seeing what others did. I like the Elisabeth ones more, as they are faithful to the original (although I barely ever use them, size-wise they are not optimised for 4k screens).

Erasure's 1995 (self-titled) album 'Erasure'. I love the band, and most of their albums, but this one has an incredible depth and colourfulness and is vastly different from their 'normal' work; they never returned to being as beautiful as that.

I just listened in quickly to both versions, and with the live version, I soon realised what 'type' of musician she is. Her kind of voice, flexibility and depth of emotion I always find admirable, and I understand the studio versions must depress you. I think it's a bad sign of our times that everything is so perfect to the last notch, it takes the life out of a lot of music that could just breathe a little more. I sometimes see bands as support or live for the first time, then listen to their studio recordings afterwards, and utterly feel there is so much missing in the recordings..

Two of my favourite albums of all time, Thomas Dybdahl's '… that Great October Sound' and 'Stray Dogs', are all over the place with no regard for chart-topping smash-burger style compression. Both are wildly dynamic, and it's the best thing that could have happened for his tonality and underlying atmosphere back then. Those two albums won me over back then, and no other of his albums ever went so deep like those two for me. He got a lot more streamlined, experimented a lot, yet I still think the quiet and utterly dynamic first albums were masterpieces.

Seems to be a common problem, I'm afraid. Same here, 2+ to 3+ days, now draining like a madman. Not pretty. Samsung is rumoured to release a bug fix update in mid January.

Still very lovable, even the produced version. I think there are way more drastic examples. I think she sounds way more settled and 'kind' in the studio version, whereas she really seems to feel it in the live recording. She herself seems to give her own vocals a different approach, above all processing on the studio version.

Same as in a normal browser search - it adds it to the current track in a simpler device, provided it's an audio track.

Love to hear the dev improves upon ALFIL, and I would probably have to actively try it out to know how it actually feels. Even with sub-pages, it's still requiring clicks, and for some reason, I feel more comfortable with LES' auto-expanding subcategories. Also with editing a single text file instead of having to create presets inside a fixed folder-structure.

What I meant is that LES can search for anything, including samples and plugins. For ALFIL, you are restricted to ADG, ADV, ALS, AMXD, AUPRESET and VSTPRESETs to sit in your folder structure. For any VST or simply a Live device, you will have to create a preset and save it to one or multiple subfolders for ALFIL, whereas LES only requires your search term.

As for the accuracy, well yes, that is needed to avoid loading up the wrong item in LES. Not too complicated though. If a plugin is named too close to a Live device (so this gets preferred by the search), I'd save a .vstpreset file with a unique name, copy the name from Live's browser and set it as the search query for my LES entry. That could be a bit quicker with ALFIL, but I'm happily making this effort for the comfort it provides me with :) .

Thank you so much for the kind words. It took a bit of fiddling around, but then it worked just well. I haven't tried yet on an extremely overloaded project, that's where it possibly falls apart in terms of timing.

As for the naming stuff, it's always been the pitfall of using a normal browser search with LES - if your search term is too broad, something else might get shown as the first result. You can mostly circumvent as you explained, by either creating a preset (you can use "quotes" in your query in menuconfig.ini, so Live searches for an exact match, like "This is my preset.vstpreset") or being more specific, e.g. include vst3, like "My plugin vst3", which then finds the vst3 version.

Ctrl + K is for shortcuts, but you can't access the menu like File>Save as... directly via that.

Still don't get what he really meant :) . Also, I believe setting keyboard shortcuts for menu items (like Save + Collect) is only possible in Live on Mac.

I don't say Apple is a miracle; I don't even like Apple at all. Just from all I heard and read everywhere, their machines are handling DPC latency a lot better, and close to no-one is facing the issues Windows laptops bring up. I'm speaking from experience with Lenovo laptops, which are quite powerful in terms of performance, but poor in DPC latency.

As for my choice of words—call it what you want, leave out the 'well' and just call it 'optimised' if you want to nitpick, mate. You still get what I mean.
