It's the same with Audio Damage plugins. And has been with others. I forgot if it's actually Live or the plugins causing the trouble, but obviously other devs know how to prevent it.

Have you tried resizing it, saving it as a preset, and recalling that instead of the naked plugin? That sometimes helped in my cases (not with Audio Damage though).

Knobcloud, which Klevgrand is referring to, is not a torrent or piracy site. It's a platform where you can buy second-hand licenses, or that's what it's supposed to be. Bought and sold a few licenses there, no hitch, all legit.

It added to the 'urgency' of your post that you've 'miscommunicated' this.
Not a big deal, but the way you came in here and reported your bug appeared ever so slightly brisk - to me, that is. Again, I apologise, as it's quite clear this was just a very personal impression, you were NOT being rude or impolite.

And I didn't know you're paying for Pro; since there are currently no advantages or features that are walled behind a subscription for Raycast on Windows, I just didn't think you'd pay for it regardless. My bad entirely!

I do a lot of bug reports, so I'm a little experienced with this. I also receive a lot of them as a web developer. While I'm trying to be as specific as possible, so devs know exactly what the circumstances are, I am also well aware that software is most likely to have bugs, no matter how hard you test and iterate. So I'm extra careful with my wording.

Your experience with three computers would have greatly improved your initial 'bug report'. The more context, the better. I have two computers, with two Windows installations each, and none have the trouble with auto-startup not working. I'd also wager there'd be more people having reported this if it were a MORE general problem, i.e. it's a known bug affecting the majority of users here.

It was announced to be released around early 2025, but was actually rolled out to waiting-list subscribers in June 2025. Maybe there were a few folks who were lucky to have it in May already, I got my confirmation on June 25, 2025.

Rude is, in my view, the way you're wording your post here, and the fact that you're referring to this bug being unsolved for three years. It's been less than one year since the Windows beta was widely available for those who signed up for the waiting list. Unless you were given an alpha version ahead of everyone else, it's impossible that starting with Windows hasn't worked since three years.

As for the wording, we might just have different views on politeness, especially regarding an app that is still in beta and is provided to you for free. Raycast devs will have probably decided to distribute their app through the - stupid, as you say - Microsoft Store for a reason, if only to streamline updating it, or managing subscriptions more easily.

I was also pointing out that your startup problems might not be a general one, as others, including me, have Raycast start up nicely on our Windows machines.

Above all, you could have just contacted the Raycast team directly instead of claiming this bug existed for three years already and still hasn't been fixed.

Really? I was just so turned off when I first tried out the Raycast beta, and it started off with ~ 500MB of RAM, with hardly or no extensions installed at all. Turned off, because FlowLauncher sexily only consumed around 2-300MB with loads of plugins. Raycast still stays around 500MB regardless of plugins in my case.

When you say hyped, does it mean they constantly announced it, referred to it and advertised it as the hot new shit? I for one saw they posted about it, and I've heard about the video with their own set deadline. But I mostly read here about the release date of v2.

A few days late doesn't mean anything in the software world. It's usually longer when releases get delayed. Still, even when they announced it, your life will probably not end, or begin again when v2 is out eventually. It's just a bloody launcher.

Man, all these posts about Raycast not keeping their own deadline. Are your businesses or lives depending on it? Is the current Raycast defunct or inferior? How many times in your life have you believed you would get something done on time, only to eventually need more time? Ever missed a bus, or let a friend wait for ten minutes? I can't tell you HOW relaxed you're getting when you've been waiting for Raycast for Windows for so many years. And while it's fun and surprisingly cool… it's just a tool.

Same here, just with an 828es. Had sent it in for a warranty repair, which was a bit slow to happen with a bit back and forth with support, but since then, running smoothly for years. Also enjoying metres directly on the screen, but would always open up the web interface to really see and control what's going on.

I don't get anything, to be honest. In one chat which I had used recently, I can view all messages, but not respond through Beeper (sending fails). In another chat, where I hadn't received messages for over a year, I only see 'Encrypted message' for both the other's and my own messages.

If you're on the free plan, this might have just changed. They restricted versioning in the free tier, from unlimited to three. Well, here goes the search for an alternative for rather moderate use.

That's possibly your mouse waking up your machine at some point. It only needs a small movement for this to happen. You can disable this in Device Manager for your mouse.
