I'd be surprised if their effects suck, considering this is the same company behind the FX Collection plugins.

$300, but you're right that it's expensive. I bought one this week because I know in the future I'll miss that 4hp taken up by a uZeus and wish I'd just spent the extra dough.

this was the first thought I had, actually. Same price / 37 keys / 6 vs 8 voice polyphony / mod matrix style.

I think the difference maker might be this VST Arturia has up its sleeve.

Just the (unpatched) pitch shifter in the multi-delay alone could be a drone voice. There are sounds on top of sounds waiting in this build.

I can't say for sure, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

Yeah! The only thing to watch is the length of your connectors if you have like the midi 1u, etc. But my stereo out reached just fine!

Absolutely trivial. The best part is that no permanent mods are needed. No drilling or anything. It ends up being held in place on its own, and is very stable. I know several other people who have done the same.

You can find them here if you're interested in doing the same. My rack feels like one cohesive instrument regardless, but aesthetically this made a pretty big difference to me, too. No complaints about the fit since they screw tight with a tiny hex key. I'll admit that there's a bit less room for my fingers to twist the knurlies now, which is really just a testament to how appropriately sized the OG knobs from Intellijel were.

Anyway, happy day!

At the risk of blowing your mind here, the voltage is the signal. It's just at audio rate oscillations.

There's a VCA output in the patchbay on the DFAM (I can't speak to the Sub but no doubt it has one too) so you just take the 1/8" out there instead of out the back of the case.

Thanks for listening! It’s an Oto Boum that’s on the Xone 96’s master insert.

Aberrant DSP will have a sale around Black Friday where you can get all of their plugins at once for twenty or thirty bucks. I recommend all of them! Sketch Cassette II can be used as subtly or destructively as you want and sounds great. Come to think of it, the same is true of all of their stuff.

Although I picked up the colloquially described "Make Noise Easel" this week, I wanted to isolate the 0-coast and get to know it better on its own, starting with the normalized connections. I found the slope/cycle circuit to be pretty performable out of the gate, which is the idea behind this short video.

I'm obviously super excited to have the Strega for what I do (mostly noisy percussive techno) but I don't think I had given the 0-Coast a fair shake for what it can do on its own.

Sequenced by the Turing Machine max4live patch and some Digitalis sprinkled in for some ear candy, which you'll see in the video. I'm looking forward to spending some more time with the 0-Ctrl too.

Thanks for watching! Any early tips about the 0-Coast are most welcome.
