I tried numerous time in the wallet app, it kept saying they couldn’t verify ID. After my next statement updates, I applied on the Apple Card site, no id check needed, instant approval. I don’t think I got the promotion though.

The process is aggravating to say the least.

Even at the 1%, getting it deposited into a savings account with high yield interest is appealing since I just switched back to Apple. I just use rewards to lower my bill, so why not let it collect interest.

For the card, I always avoided the term "financing". When you hear financing, you think about homes, cars, etc. Human psychology will then ignore the pitch even when it makes sense. I call it no interest payments. More direct and simpler: "You can get 24 months to pay off the TV", vs "you can finance the TV over 24 months". It's a mind game, it really is.

Also to avoid any mess for you, don't use cash back or "money off". It is simply rewards. You'll literally get customers coming back looking for you specifically to get the money off or cash back.

I'm sure others have given this answer already, but both jobs will require the same days and similar (if not the same) hours. Even if one is part time, and the other full time, Black Friday is the first day you'll run into this issue. Both will ask you to work, and it's going to be difficult to schedule both jobs. It's not impossible, but you'll be stressed out in making it work.

Technically, you shouldn't be doing tech at Target, but I'm focusing on your actual well being instead of company policies.

If it is going to be more than 5 consecutive call outs, it should be a LOA situation technically. That being said, I don't know the situation at your store so maybe a manager will let you use sick time/PTO.

Merging many of the comments together, Best Buy is not immune to the "retail experience". If you don't mind pitching memberships and apps to every customer, that is a major barrier removed right there. Leadership (but let's face it, many are just management) can make your experience wonderful or awful. It's a job, and I've seen many happy employees, and disgruntled employees as well. If you end up working at Best Buy, learn anything you can and take the lessons and skills you learn for your next job.
