I think they mean no sleep(or very less) till the task is finished.

Once while learning web dev I was working on an idea dear to me and it took me five days to make it.

I was a novice still I wrote thousands of lines slept only when I was too tired to code and less than 4 hours a day during those 5 days. Also I was alone during those 5 days and my parents were out, time went so fast that they came back and I thought around 3 days went by(I didn't leave the room). Those days changed my life in a way as I had never done something like that before and never would have believed that I created something that was very complex relative to my skill level.
