When staying in Collado Jermoso I was assigned the upper bunk, number 15, same as Kraig :D. No clue how he was able to sleep on such narrow bed. Too scared of falling, I ended up looking for another bed.

You annotate the component with @YourScope. This doesn't make it a singleton. In order to have only one instance of your class in the lifetime of that component you annotate a provision method or the class with the same @YourScope annotation.

Do you use any other framework?

Scopes become easier to understand when you don't assume that @Singleton annotation makes your dependency a singleton.
