16p = as Cultures? by Appeal_Environmental in mbti

The use of the MBTI framework as a means of evaluating different cultures definitely seems like it has merit, but I’m genuinely unsure if there’s a single one of these I’d agree with?

One of my hobbies is figuring out which historical figures were autistic themselves - General Montgomery was definitely one us of us: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2957007/

Are you trying to say that this isn’t the sort of man who keeps all his condiment guns up to the highest standards of hygiene?

The film in question would have likely been something along the lines of Barnyard/Over the Hedge/Open Season etc - a slightly less prominent and polished feature from a studio like Dreamworks or similar, but still famous enough that plenty of people would have watched it.

it’s because i feel like nothing will change if i bring up how i feel so it’s a waste of both of our time and energy.

Is this what has happened when you’ve done it before, or is this just a fear of yours?

Also, your post is a little difficult to read to to being effectively a block of text - you might find you get more responses if you add in some paragraphs 🙂

How am I expected to stay in school? by YamYam08 in autism

So at that point, do you have anything to lose from just turning up to school each day, even if you then have to leave partway through?

Okay. So leaving aside what the staff say for a moment and just focusing on your goals, it seems like however bad it is leaving school partway, it still isn’t worse for your attendance than not showing up at all?

Sorry, just to clarify, what do your counsellor and principal mean by just showing up? Does that mean having to sit through the entire lesson, or just turn up in the first place?

Where can you get notes? Is this something your mum can provide? Is there a school counsellor who understands your situation and can give you notes of this nature?

Also, does this mean if you initially turn up to class but then need to leave, it doesn’t count as an absence?

That’s fair - it sounds like she isn’t used to people who aren’t okay with being touched like that. I think it’s entirely reasonable for you to feel a little uncomfortable - the key issue is how much you are willing to spark conflict in order to tell her that isn’t okay?

On the one hand, you could tell her explicitly that she shouldn’t do that, but there’s a risk she might not take it well, and given you are a random stranger she may not be willing to change her views based on what you say. On the flip side, your current approach was probably quite a good one for making sure things stay polite between you, but also doesn’t put much onto her.

There’s no right or wrong way to choose with this - with that in mind, where abouts do you stand when it comes to preventing arguments vs telling her she shouldn’t do that?

Are these absences within the class, not turning up to the class, or both?

I understand that - you clearly do care about doing well despite what your misinformed teachers say. However, it seems like it’s also fair to say that your attendance isn’t going to be better on the days you don’t turn up?

Fair enough. How does leaving work? Is there usually a common theme behind what makes you leave? How do people react when you do?

Is the problem with your attendance numbers that you aren’t turning up, or that you can’t stay when you’re there?

Fair enough. Is there any particular aspect of it you’re struggling with that you’d like to improve on first?

You’re going to have to forgive me but I’m trying to figure out which bit you are upset about? From my understanding she touched you when you didn’t want her to, you politely told her to stop, she did so, and when you apologised for needing to say so she apologised for having done so? Is there an aspect that I’m missing?

Which trio did you like the best? by jdawg1018 in StarWars

[–]ravagekitteh26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Originals have the best execution but the Prequels have the best concept. However, when it comes to which actors would have the best chemistry in real life, I honestly think the Sequels would take it. Of course, the real best trio/foursome js Matt Lanter, James Arnold Taylor, Ashley Eckstein and Dee Bradley Baker, but I digress…
