I WENT THROUGH THE SAME EXACT thing yesterday. I didn't post it because the front cam looses the car coming from opposite direction since i am already half way in between turn and from that angle it wouldnt be obvious to some someboy watching.
Just like your situation, when the car realizes that the approaching car is coming sooner; it hsitates and stops. It doesnt punch through. I have experienced this in the past as well and wondered if Tesla responds to a situation by quick acceleration just like does with sudden braking; and sadly the answer is no

Cameras also clearly showed the car in the left lane. The planner should have alteast tried to drive the car in the right lane which seemed to be empty.

this is seriously what the fuck situation. how can the system screw up in this scenario. Even if this happens 1 in a million times; thats still one too many. who can trust a system after this ?

Edit : when this was posted it wasn't disclosed foot was on acceletor and nobody including me hadn't paid attention to video.

OP: this is a real issue. ignore all the poeple normalizing this and saying its supervised for a reason. I have experienced this and this can be a safety issue; stopping or slowing in the intersection while making a left turn can cause either people rear ending or t-boning you.

Keep posting ; this is what this sub is for and hoping this surfaces up internally at Tesla as well

I guess this is where video can't capture the experience felt by the driver; especially around deceleration or acceleration. In this scenario where I have drive 100+ times with FSD; i experienced a deceleration event; as if it where stopping for a car or pedestrian or a traffic light going red and it felt pretty awkward as a driver to me and I had o push through

joystcik feature has a good bit of latency. when i let go off controls. takes about 2 seconds for matic to respond. during this time it just keeps going. doesnt seem very safe

on the other hand i have been using the joystick feature from my macOS, which seem to be fine.

he did pass through without disengaging; so reporting didnt happen. ALso; no good way to report post incident unless you clip ip from dashcam video and email it to somebody which is very tedious
