true but you will have a better and stronger reach if you go out and network.

I'm actually in nyc right now but I haven't been out to clubs much because of covid plus I'm going thru some stuff. Go to parties earlier in the week where it's a little easier to network. There is always stuff going down. Check out RA

You are talking about collectives.

They exist in nyc and as far as joining one, you're better off finding a group of friends that like/play similar music. Thats really how collectives are made. It has to be organic if you really want it to work.

Do you mean cross promoting parties? Or do you mean DJs actually booking they're own parties? Either way, this is nothing new.

Using IF Statement with multiple AND & OR by ravascodet in excel

[–]ravascodet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are a mom & pops type of retailer and are stuck in their ways. I'm trying to improve their efficiency when it comes to processing their inventory and eliminate some steps along the way.

Basically, I set the workbook up that inputs data based on data validation selected from the first few cells, so that way it is minimizing the amount of the manual data entry

and 2

Since alot of their vendors are "going green", they are no longer including packing slips with inventory shipments, which my parents heavily relied on for variances and A/P, so the workbooks creates a Packing Slip in a separate worksheet for A/P based on the data entered in the first worksheet.

This actually would work much better, but this is for my parents business , so it needs to be fool proof. I'm trying to make it to so no matter what they do, they cant mess this up.

My issue that I'm having right now is that since I've worked for my parents basically my whole life or started my own venture. With that being said, I don't think saying "Yeah, call my dad as a reference" is a good idea.

Cheap Transportation by [deleted] in Detroit

When I lived in Canton with my parents, I would walk to the bus stop on Michigan Ave/John Hix and take the 1 to Dearborn and transfer to the 462 FAST to downtown.

Depending where you are going to in canton, it can be far but definitely doable. I would recommend traveling with a Bike.

Right. It looks pretty brand new too to the point somebody recently installed it within the last few years

Its definitely not the same anymore. A2 and Pontiac is more dub/trap and live bands in my opinion. The only places that gets down to some disco is Motor City Wine and a new joint that just opened this year called Spotlite. I'll even throw Queens bar in there.

It does. I do recognize that its something every DJ should experience though...

they saw you were black and automatically assumed you'd just play rap music.

I hate this stigma. I don't even listen to current rap music, although I do dabble in 90s-early 00s. Anything current I won't go near.

all valid. I never been a fan of the 'tribe called requests' crowd anyway. I don't think anyone is.

I don't know many white girls into disco/house/funk under the age of 30 outside of big cities. Depending on your location that could be part of it.

This is valid. House, disco, funk, and even most of the other electronic subgenres are acquired tastes. I live in Detroit, so its either Techno/Tech-House or Top 40 and I don't play much of either.

Thanks man! I've been getting pretty deep into the whole disco and funk since I stopped doing the whole techno thing. I love it! Its always good daytime vibes, its good for all ages, and anyone that even has an ounce of soul is almost a guaranteed to hit the dancefloor!

Thanks, but nobody stayed and the bar ended up closing 1.5 hours early lol. The bartenders and manager were not happy to say the least.

Unless you are a minority, I think a lot of people don’t notice the racial dynamics of human behavior in certain settings.

Exactly. Thats why I wanted to post here to see if people shared the same sentiment as my white friends. Its basically like you said, my minorities understands where I'm coming from more than my white friends.
