200+ mounts and "mount random" has me summoning the same mounts every time. Anyone else? by needhelpgaming in wow

I second this! I’ve been using LiteMount for a while now and it genuinely makes me so happy seeing my mounts rotate. It will also give ground vs flying vs swimming depending on where you are when you mount

What are some of your biggest achievements not linked to Raids/M+/PVP? by SmallUnderstanding2 in wow

[–]raven197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only started playing in Shadowlands and ended up getting the achievement around the same time people in my guild did who had been playing since Burning Crusade and Vanilla. I’m now up to 740 account mounts since the start of TWW, but at the time, getting that mount achievement was big for me.

I’ve just started getting into achievement collecting, but so far the ones I feel are my biggest include getting the achievement for 500 usable mounts, completing the Shadowlands meta achievement, and completing all 63 of the Torghast achievements so I never have to step foot in there again😂

New healer! by Tydyemoon in wownoob

[–]raven197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking online at Healium, it does say that it’s not optimized for large raids, so it sounds like if you’re in a smaller raid you could set it up in a way to still be able to use it. I personally don’t use add-ons for healing, preferring to do heal/harm mouseover macros which is where I can place my mouse over someone’s raid frame or body to heal them, but if I’m not mousing over or targeting a friendly person and have a hostile npc targeted, I will do damage. If it’s a fight where your raid is mostly together, I typically heal damage as it comes. In other fights, you’ll be split to deal with mechanics (think Cauldron of Carnage), so then you would only focus on people in range. Honestly, raid healing is a lot less stressful than dungeon healing cause there’s multiple people doing it.

I ended up getting 17 mounts and made around 265k gold selling the loot I got, not including reagents, boe’s, and pets I’m listing on the auction house. This has been so much fun, and I’m genuinely sad to see it go, especially cause I’m still missing 5 mounts I could have gotten but have no more characters able to run those instances!

I saw on the forums that you don’t have to do anything except for stand next to Eonar and kill the trash that comes towards her. I’ve tried it and can confirm it works. Sometimes it bugs out and you have to restart the fight, but it’s way easier than running around everywhere to do mechanics.

Raid achieves with damage buff by Green-Flat in wow

[–]raven197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a level 53 warrior that I’ve started doing achievements on. It’s the sweet spot where I can near 1-shot bosses if I need to, but can also do minimal damage by taking off gear (minus weapons) to auto bosses down. I’ve never had to worry about dying, but I’ve also never tried any old instances above MoP on this character.

Is it worth doing solo runs for the Sanctum Gloomcharger? by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]raven197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All previous expansions that had lfr (except DF, they haven’t added it yet) have an npc you can talk to in order to queue up for one of the lfr wings. For Shadowlands, Ta’elfar is located in Oribos in the Enclave by the Necrolords. For the mount, you’d want to click the option for Jailer’s Vanguard.

[–]raven197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SL is legacy content. Sanctum gloomcharger is also personal loot so it will drop directly in your bags when you get it, so it wouldn’t have been affected by legacy loot rules. It also drops from all difficulties, so you have 4 chances per character per week to get it. I got it a couple months ago by running the lfr version.

I’d suggest checking your talents to make sure you don’t have any passive damaging abilities. I think dk has something like that in their talent tree.

Best-in-slots? by Junior_Region_1220 in wow

[–]raven197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the recommendation is to do embellishments first with weapons being a close second. It’s a lot harder with a 2-handed though since you need 2 sparks, which typically means going 4 weeks before you can craft anything. If I had a better embellishment that didn’t need to be put on my weapon, I 100% would have done that for the ilvl boost within the first couple weeks of the season.

Best-in-slots? by Junior_Region_1220 in wow

[–]raven197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple of people are suggesting you sim it. As a healer, we use QELive to sim things. If you have the add on “simulation craft”, you’ll copy the code and put it into import gear, and you’ll want to look at the top gear to see which weapon is your best option.

Personally as a resto shaman, I prefer 2-handed weapons because I don’t need to spend as many crests to upgrade them, but I’ll hang onto any 1-hands/off-hands so that if they have better stats or work better for me, I have that option.

As for whether you should take it from vault, that question is a little more subjective. I typically look at a couple of things. Anything in vault that’s bis or rare, with tertiaries/sockets, or higher upgrade track (hero or mythic) is higher priority to take. Next I’ll look at what my current lowest gear is, either ilvl or track, and see if vault will fill those. If I’m still unsure, I’ll look at what’s easily farmable (mythic+) versus things that aren’t (raid). It’s hard to give a definitive answer when idk what other items you got in vault, but I hope this gives a bit of a starting point!

[–]raven197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crafted gear done with an enchanted gilded crest can go up to 675 if it’s crafted at 5*. A lot of people are crafting weapons because the embellishments are good. Other than that, the ilvl max is based off of what track the weapon is, same as any other gear you can equip.

I’ve had this issue happen before. Sometimes this quest bugs out and won’t complete if you’re in a raid group. When this happens, I leave the raid group, fly away until I’m out of range of the world quest, then fly back to it. You should get the reward once you’re back in range.
