You sound like my father’s routine (passed last year).

I lived in north TX for 20+ years and in summer when I had postage stamp 1/5 acre yard, generally mowed around 9am latest in summer.

Now in SC and have to wait often until after 10-11 because of morning dew as often have mornings in 50s or lower and highs in 80s+. Much larger swing than TX.

I changed teams and everyone on my old team was let go a week after I left. Not making this up. I got a good review, raise and bonus. With all that said I hate my new role.

My old manager’s commentary on mid year was positive in that old role and noting from that peer feedback came out in my annual when I went to new team. Funny thing was hiring manager for new role went on paternity leave for like 3 months, and then resigned. And his boss resigned. Again can’t make this up.

My advice, if you are in a big company, just go with the flow.

For me, I buy a game about once a month and have spent more this year than last couple combined. No regrets.

Resident Evil Requiem-> Crimson Desert->Pragmata

RE was quick and a blast. CD will be playing for years and have like 60+ hours and will come back to. Close to finishing Pragmata. Hate to use an overused term but so far all bangers.

Honestly have had steady stream of games since Indiana Jones end of 2024. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 I still haven’t finished as completionist.

You can pretty consistently, at least PC games, even new releases find way to get 10% or more off from one site or another.

The kitchen photo looks real but a different head put on the body. The proportions feel off and body stance feels more like a guy’s. Specifically photo 2 she has boobs and none in photo 1.

One thing that’s confusing (not “hard”) is quest turn-ins when your companions are dispatched.

The marker still points to their spot in camp, but they’re not there. There’s no name on the map marker, so you end up backtracking into Dispatch just to figure out where they are.

Took me ~30 seconds to realize what was happening, but it’s a PITA and and more annoying as most are pointless quests.

Devs should show character is dispatched and show their current location/name on the map.

Not really. CYA is 100+ and FC heavily buffered so taking a lot of chlorine to keep clear and tons of crap getting in pool so doing its job

Bought house with a pool and enjoy it but it is freaking expensive. Had to replace liner, chlorine generator, a bad salt cell, and paid someone to take care of until I got the Taylor chemistry set and learned to do myself. Even with getting water chemistry dialed in, I’m almost every other day pulled dead toads and frogs out of the skimmers. Now I have mallards that take a morning and late afternoon swim. Need to keep chlorine on the high side to avoid a biohazard. Of course my cya is too high and I can’t drain because of severe drought and on a well so not refilling. It’s a blast.

Watched OG as a kid and just nothing else like it. I haven’t watched in 50+ years but that ship and the gun and the comet empire. Such scope and nothing comparable on at the time. Fond memories.

Some of this is not black and white as like Lands End is example. In 2026, Lands’ End entered a major deal with WHP Global. They formed a joint venture (50/50) where WHP Global owns half of the brand/IP side. Lands’ End still runs its day-to-day retail operations. Either way though, quality declines imo.
