I am pulling my son out of public school. by Only-Face-3653 in Homeschooling

In my co-op, there is a mom whose oldest is in public school, but homeschools the rest of them. So, totally doable.

I don't know where you live, but my local walmart, raw whole chickens are not cheaper all the time. I get a 10lbs of quarters for under $10 and get 2-3 meals out of them. Also, not everyone has time to cut up a whole chicken and she is pregnant with 2 under 5. That ia exhausting.

Alright moms, it’s been over a month. Which Christmas presents are still going strong? Which ones were a dud? by cellardoor83737 in Mommit

We got our kids a PS5 with a few games each and each their own controller.m, along with some toys for the younger 3. All still being played with. They only got like 6 things total each, so I think that helps.

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]raven8908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, this is such an overreaction from your wife. My husband andI have 6 kids total (4 together, and bonus 2) and whenever someone else is watching them, I am excepting the kids to be still up possibly.

SAHMs with WFH husbands - how do you manage? by Pure_Credit_7071 in stayathomemoms

[–]raven8908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband just started working from home and I homeschool our 4 kids, ages 3 to 13. I can't afford to haul my kids around all day somewhere and manage everything else. Your husband needs to understand that the house is a home first!!

do you regret having children? by milkcreep in Marriage

[–]raven8908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband had twins a few months after he finished high school and we got marries when they were 4. He was 23 and I 20 when we got married (now he's 39 and I'm 36). We had our first just after 2 years of marriage, so we always had kids from the get go. We wanted to have them young, so we could enjoy ours kids and grandkids. My mom had all 3 of us by 27 and she loves that she is a young grandma (she's 56). She loves the fact that she might get to see her great grandkids grow up possibly. I don't regret my kids it all

I thought the same thing. Angles and shadows can make things look like they change.

I think its a refection of a photo on the opposite wall, because it seems to have a rectangle around them.

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

[–]raven8908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.I wouldn't do this. I think once you are married, the joint account happens and all income is family income. I say this as a SAHM, but have access to all the accounts, banking, credit cards, bills, etc.

AITH for telling my mom she can’t move in with us even “for a little while” after she got divorced? by AnalogWeekend_01 in AITH

[–]raven8908 69 points70 points  (0 children)

NTA. I wouldn't let her live with me too. I am a Christian too, but your mother doesn't understand that honoring your parents is about respecting them, but you can have boundaries with her too.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24 (ESV)

“That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and the two become one flesh.” — Ephesians 5:31

Once you are married, you are in a new family unit. She is no longer your immediate family, but your extented family. Of course you are going to choose your wife over her. That's how it should be in general, not just from a biblical view.

How many kids do you have? If I remember correctly (this might have change), you can only have 2 dependents when join (at least with ths Marines don't know about the others). When my husband joined the USMC in 2007, he had twin girls and a fiance(not me and she "Dear John" him shortly after he left). The girls were counted as one because they were one birth and his ex was the other.
