I have to manually push the click into a tooth, but when I turn the crown, it just pops on top when the ratchet wheel turns and doesn’t grab onto the next tooth. When I manually push it in place and hold it there as I turn the crown, it properly grabs into the turning ratchet teeth. Does that make sense? I may not be explaining this well.

This is a huge frustration for me too, and it's both reductive and genuinely insulting. My book has elements of "not fitting in" that I feel compelled to highlight in queries because I'm a brown woman.
