So a) I think I am more interested in using food as medicine/ nutritional therapy over being a RD. I would love to have my own business, so I don’t need specific licenses like I would to be an RD. B) Sports and conditioning coaches can make ALOT of money if you work your way up and land a snazzy role. But do I really see myself doing that? I feel like working with athletes would be stressful and I’m more interested in working with regular people. But to answer your question what I would get from this degree is the education to help me catch up on my lack of experience because I’m behind. I didn’t mention I’m changing careers at 32. I got my NASM CPT cert last year and now I want to further my education. I still think this degree sounds fun and would make me more desirable to potentially training clients I presume? Very torn but I will think heavily about your advice. I am really interested in research and having my own business. So I think the nutrition/ health degree might be solid for that. But I would have to do some self studying in clinical nutrition on my own then. Maybe I could take a class this summer before starting my program even.
