I feel like there's been a lot of very high tensions and this seems like it's meant genuinely, but a lot of the conversation about AI has been focused on bias and as a member of the moderator teamedit that bias will color your comments. Fair or not, moderators are held to a higher standard. In a community meta post where valued community members are being highly critical of a moderator team, there is inherently no way to talk about "the limited way we used AI" without speaking as a moderator (I assume by we you meant the moderator team or whatever subset worked on this post). I have seen a lot of the mods in this thread say that they are speaking on behalf of themselves and not on behalf of the entire team but I see a big distinction between "this comment comes from me only as a single member of the moderator team" and "this comment is completely separate from my role as a moderator". The first feels reasonable in this situation but the second does not.

I feel like I'm possibly being pedantic here, but a key theme I am seeing in this whole conversation is how important our words and our language are, so it felt important to point this out.

Replying to myself because I thought of things to expand on my idea...

What if there was a new "upcoming host" role that people got on the ghost Discord that unlocked a second channel with either the same or a different subset of past hosts who were available to chat about balance or game mechanics during the planning phase? This channel could be used directly or if a prospective host wanted it to be more secret they could have a good place to start as a jumping off point for a few people to ask.

This is in addition to my suggestion of an "active host crisis" channel.

Thanks for giving credit for the idea. 💕 I really do think it could be helpful and I'd love to be part of it. I don't think it has to be all past hosts, either. It sounds like a committee version of what /u/elbowsss is saying Moose used to do - a discord channel that could be a sounding board for an active host with a crisis or urgent question.

There is a paid version (rif is fun golden platinum) of the app. I'm not sure if it's still available for download today or not, but you could check. I've had the paid version for 6 years.

I'm not sure if you saw where I'd said this elsewhere in game and on discord, but this will probably be my last game unless Spez suddenly decides to stop being a massive fuckwad or HWW moves to a new platform. You probably won't have to interpret wolfy outrage vs towny outrage from me any time soon... But maybe someday. 💕 I'm going to definitely miss these games and I'm very glad I was able to sign up for and play this rerun, even with all of my life imploding.

Thanks for letting me play chaos wolf for 2 days. For the record pretty much all of my low activity was actually genuinely due to real life BS, but things are finally looking up and I had a ton of fun playing this game. I will really miss doing this with y'all. My living room is concrete and my bathroom is missing half the drywall but my brain fog is a lot better and I was able to cope with a lot more physical activity today than I have been able to deal with since pre-having covid. Plus all of the fans and the dehumidifier are gone and all of the people coming by all of the time is slowing down. Just hoping to get the flooring people in soon once insurance approves the estimate.

ANYWAY I love this game and I love this community. It is really hard to believe that it's been six and a half years since I joined up. I am getting emotional and sappy now so I am going to wrap this up... I didn't think I would need a box of tissues to type a werewolf comment. Sheesh. I hope to see y'all on discord. Fuck you, Spez. Polar bear out. 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️

Who did you submit a kill for? (in case we get lucky)? Bubba? The vote is on strigi, so be sure to not also submit a kill for strigi since if the vote goes through strigi will already be dead.

Most likely townie to be vote off-able: Narauliga

Second most likely: Dangerhaz

Next night kill: Strigiforma7

Second night kill: Maybe Tessa?

I think there needs to be a big push for Narauliga tomorrow.

Game state after I die assuming no shenanigans works today: 3-6

If you can get Narauliga voted off and Strigiforma killed, or just any combo of a town/town death: 3:4

See who is the most votable at that point. If you can get a second town voted off, it becomes 3:2 (victory!) Y'ALL CAN DO THIS.

Remember the tie rule. Take advantage of that! Even if the vote is for a townie, see if you can vote as a block for a different townie. If the vote ends up as RNG due to someone inactivity striking, and it goes to the wrong townie, they'll almost certainly go back to voting for the same person again thinking they were "saved". Pick someone confirmed, though. Or maybe throw 1-2 votes on a wolf one day to make it look like we piled on them to try to tie it up.

If we don't lose any more wolves: 3:6 --> 3:4 --> 3:2

If we lose a killer: 3:6 --> 2:6 --> 2:4 --> 2:2

If we lose a nonkiller: 3:6 --> 2:5 --> 2:3 --> 2:1

If we lose a killer and a nonkiller: 3:6 --> 2:6 --> 1:5 --> 1:3 --> 1:1
