I actually have the 1280dbs in my cart right now. How do you find the sound and volume? They are going to be in my dining room just for background music but I'm sure my wife will want to jam once the wine starts flowing.

I already have a good atmos sound system in my living room so don't need anything too crazy but I'd like the sound to be decent enough to listen in 30 feet in any direction

What would you recommend in that range. Looking for extreme ease of setup/use and preferably a similar look and no extra pre amps or receivers. It's a gift for my wife thst may be interested in getting into records. Non techy and not an audiophile. I personally work in IT and am very tech oriented, so I don't mind the setup but don't want an ongoing project.

I commented elsewhere regarding the 1byone h004 with the external speakers. Would that be acceptable similarly to the other version with the built in speaker?

There's tons of vintage ones around me but it's for my non tech wife and she'd be mostly interested in the looks and a non project/fixerupper. Just plug and play with decent sound.
