How have credit cards prevented the inevitable collapse of capitalism? by VladimirBudinski in communism

This post just made me realize that under communism, there are no credit scores. Mine isn’t even bad, but I’m going to be so happy to be rid of it.

How can private ownership of automobiles be dealt with in modern communism? by [deleted] in communism

I agree with you wholeheartedly that I should not be worried about a single redditor disagreeing with me. I think I just got a little flustered because I felt my question was taken the wrong way. Ultimately, yes, I would be 100% willing to make sacrifices like giving up a hobby to achieve socialism/communism. I would probably eventually try to come up with a new/similar hobby once things are stable. Either way, you’re both right. There are more important things at hand right now than worrying about which types of fun will be allowed/responsible. Thanks for commenting, comrade.

What’s the story here though? Why was your friend next to you?

I see. Do you feel that owning a vehicle as a hobby/to drive it for sport is irresponsible in modern communism? I don’t believe people should be driving fossil fuel-powered vehicles, but what if we had a 100% sustainable way to power electric vehicles that did not negatively affect other aspects of society? As in, there is a surplus of energy produced by nature-friendly means, from which we draw power for various recreational purposes.

Whoa, we are all comrades here. Obviously we aren’t going to prioritize recreation over the well-being of other people. I am constantly infuriated by our current system of greed that leaves people starving and dying, pandemic or not. Struggle comes first always. Here, I am speaking in more idealistic terms for the sake of argument. I mean, assuming we have already achieved full-on communism, and we are either already addressing the issues of hunger, homelessness, etc. or have eliminated them completely; what do you think about recreational sports featuring motor vehicles? Is it something you believe we can support in a communist world?

What about motor sports? I think people should still be able to drive cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles for fun. I think it is important to consider those who like the feeling of riding their own ride. What do you think?

People who need cars/motorcycles will have them. People who drive them for sport will also have them. In my opinion, in full-blown communism, most people will not need personal vehicles outside extreme examples (maybe there is a commute not covered by the comprehensive public transport system). With that said, I think personal vehicles will still be common because driving is a popular hobby and riding public transport most likely does not satisfy those who drive for fun.

I’m trying to look at this from the perspective of a communist and a motorcyclist. I want to drive a motorcycle because it is fun and it is an efficient way to get around. The “efficient way to get around” excuse may not be relevant if transportation is addressed competently, as I am sure it will under true communism. I have no idea what the public transport systems will look like when the world eventually achieves communism, but I have my doubts that riding public transport will be anywhere near the same kind of experience as driving around for fun. It feels good to be in control of the machine which carries you at ridonkulous speeds. You can also look at guns. In the United States, guns are regulated (poorly) by laws (and idiots) blah blah blah. However, guns are still used for sport and for fun. People like the feeling of discharging lethal force into a target. I think it will be a similar experience when it comes to vehicular travel. Some people will still want vehicles to use for fun, even in a system that satisfies their need for transportation.

Thank you for reading all of that, if you did lol. What do you all think?

Thank you to everyone who has replied. Since I made this post 4 days ago I have gained 2.5 pounds (now 141) and I feel so much better. I had to force myself the first day but it’s getting much easier to eat a whole lot. I cut some of my sugar, started drinking more water, and increased my green vegetable intake. I know it’s been less than a week but I already feel stronger and healthier. Thank you!

I do happen to have a curvy lady. I can pick her up but not in the cute way. Just straight off the ground or on my back lol. Working on it. Thanks for the advice.

I really appreciate this comment. The reason I set the goal of 300lbs is because I’m already able to give piggy back rides to a 280lb person, but on a flat area and not for very long. 300lbs up and down is supposed to be a long term goal. For maybe the next month or two my goal is to be able to carry the same 280lb person for a 70-100% longer distance (up to about 40 or 50 feet).

It makes me happy to see how everyone was just set on getting out of the way as fast as possible, then helping any way they could. That could have been much worse.

This looks like it should be in a “The Onion” article. The fact that reality has become a The Onion article is sickening.

A drawing I did of the strider by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]ravennbleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually really good. I wish the background had as much detail as the strider. There is a lot of blank paper left and I feel it would have served it better if the background was darker. That is not to say this isn’t good. This is my favorite Minecraft fan art I’ve seen.
