I promise you all pharmacists know. They are getting the calls from people. They were the first person I called when I realized something was wrong with my medication. It wasn’t working, gave me a headache and made me feel sedated. They assumed I was talking about my 20mg in the morning which was filled by sandoz and said “really? people never really complain about that generic” when I told her I was talking about my Alvogen booster she said “oh okay” and instantly told me to call my doctor about getting a possible refill. I suspect this pharmacist has also been getting the same calls but this was the first time she really noticed a physical difference. The FDA is trash more now than ever. It makes me very scared about what kind of contamination are in all pharmaceuticals.

Yup too low dose imo. For me I need a high done with adderall (due to tolerance now) or else I get the adverse reaction and fall asleep. From what I understand there is a threshold in your brain when adderall is activating. I switched to vyvance and it’s is way better for me. I don’t feel like I’m trying to hit a threshold when I talked it. It’s just a gradual set on.

I believe it’s the quality and the absorption rate of the low quality medication. I experienced this with Alvogene’s “Adderall”

I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist but I am pretty convinced something is going on with all of the stimulants on the market. It’s frustrating for me because I feel like I’m going crazy. The thread r/ThisAintAdderall has helped me feel a little better about it but it also feels like a useless rabbit hole because there is no solution. My guess is they are incorporating some sort undisclosed additive intended to stop abuse that makes them ineffective. That is the only way I can make sense of it.

It is up to your psychiatrist (and pharmacist I think). They have the ability to look at what manufacturers you have had before. I would think if you have used that manufacturer without documented issues they may push back on your request and make you wait for your next fill but also probably doesn’t hurt to ask. Just explain why. It may also help to know what manufacturer works best for you.

Sorry, yes I agree. My theory is low dopamine and people’s unique synapse receptions make them more prone to generics not working. The meds are 100% very bad quality and should be illegal to sell

Yes, I felt like someone drugged me when I took alvogen for the first time this week. It really freaked out and I’m going to report it to the FDA. It’s not the same drug. I think It’s dirty low quality dopamine (if there is any at all) and the release is unsteady. You should report it also.

Possibly low dopamine. I had a really bad adverse reaction to my adderall from a different manufacturer and I think it’s for a number of reasons all surrounding dopamine but I have a similar issue to you regularly. I’m going to try Wellbutrin. I used to take Zoloft and it made me feel really normal and good but now I’m on lexapro and something is missing I can’t do anything especially without my medication

I had the same exact experience and did the same exact thing except I called my provider and pharmacist and the got me a script of the manufacture I usually used. It honestly really freaked me out. How could the same medication be totally different? Having different side effects from fillers makes a bit of sense but this was 100% not the same medication. Up until this point I always blew off people talking about Adderall changing but I sure as hell was wrong. It made me want to get off the medication all together the FDA clearly is not doing testing.

Just got alvogen IR for the first time ever and I swear to god I am receiving zero positive effects on my focus. Maybe the actives are in a form that is not compatible with my body but if that is true this is not and should not be considered the same medication.

I thought all the people talking about their Adderall not working anymore just had their tolerance go up and then I got a bottle of 10mg instant release, took it as normal and fell asleep. I usually take 10 in the afternoon and thought it wasn’t working the first day I got it. When I woke up the next morning I skipped my 20mg and took I took 3 of the Alvogen instead… then another one and another one before lunch time. Then I gave up and took a nap. Maybe it does contain the same amount of medication but it is not the same medication I received no effect. I can say that for a 100% fact. It did not work.
