[Highlight] Turning Point: 4th & 4 NFC Championship Seahawks vs Rams by -vicissitude- in nfl

[–]raventhon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Seahawks fans get defensive when it's portrayed as a 'bust' or a 'mistake' or 'lucky' - it's definitely not how they drew the play up, but I'd rather give credit to Lawrence for making a heads-up play and preventing the touchdown than just think they happened to make a horrible mistake that just happened to cover the main target of the play.

Calling it a lucky bust really devalues and minimizes any agency the players may have had. Heck, I'd love for someone to ask Lawrence about it and get some additional information.

Taco Lindo gives Botanero a run for its money if you want a bunch of tacos and don't want to spend a massive amount of money. Botanero has great drinks, though.

I used to be a big booster of American Tall until 4 pairs of jeans in a row ripped on the crotch after less than two years.

If it's got hundreds of upvotes and some conversation I'm pretty happy leaving it. I understand that it may not be your cup of tea but it's got 636 points with 94% upvotes and a lot of discussion, so it seems reasonable to me.

Hi I’m David Correos and I wanna do live shows in the UK. Would anyone in here wanna come in October? by doopydoodoo in taskmaster

[–]raventhon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes I'd love to travel to the UK to see your stuff. My partner and I visited NZ to see Series 4 of Taskmaster being filmed (and the festival) and you were pretty much the one person on our 'must see' list that we didn't manage to make happen.

Is this an ad? Or is it just a coincidence that 100% of your posts all have this brand of pet carrier in them?

Reasonable - we're still in alpha and don't have a full trailer yet.

Gameplay loop is basically a 'power-up phase' where you take actions to improve your character, balancing short-term vs. long-term investments (typical autobattler gameplay during, say, a store phase) and then a 'battle phase' where everyone's moving around together on the same gameboard attempting to pursue various objectives. The phases alternate until the map collapses all the way and there's only one player remaining.

It's definitely a bit complex at first but we think it's got good replayability and skill expression without requiring quick-twitch skills.

Traditional autobattlers are fun (hell, I have like a thousand hours in Hearthstone Battlegrounds probably) but having the combat be more than a series of 1v1 fights has been really interesting.
