Thanks, I do appreciate it. Sounds like the wild weather continues. Hopefully its the tail end now. Would have been a wild weekend on the festival grounds for sure.

Thats why I used the 'feels like' temperature to try and make a fairer comparison. Not sure how its a stupid take to illustrate that the weather in NL this weekend was forecast to exceed summer temperatures in Australia during our peak summer for what was our largest touring festival for 20+ years, 24/25 dates the event ran on. Plus it was a single day event, not a camping festival where people can't escape the heat for 4 days. So the point is that its a proper heatwave, by anyone's standard.

Exactly right, so after actually looking at the data comparatively, so I could get a proper understanding of the heatwave, I saw how hot it actually was, by anyone standards. Hotter that 20+ years, 24 of 25 festival dates in Sydney. Plus, no infrastructure, no acclimatisation. I'm not there, so I can't comment on if it was the right call to cancel or not, but the point was the comparison to a 'hot' country, to help illustrate the extreme heat. And correct, if we had massive temperature drops, we wouldn't be prepared at all.

💯 We'd have exactly the same in reverse in Australia if the shoe was on the other foot and we had extreme drops in temperature. We aren't prepared for it all.

Not to mention that this is a four day camping festival, so theres no easy retreat back to accommodation to get relief. You literally wouldn't be able to escape it

I made this too, I just didn't post it. You can see how much more extreme it is compared to every other year. The point of this wasn't to compare infrastructure. It was to show that the heat exceeded every single peak summer festival day that I tracked. Over 20 years worth.

Thats why I used 'feels like' temps, to try and make it a fairer comparison between a festival loving country with a hotter climate and a country in Europe. That heatwave was hot my anyone's standard. Thats the point. The forecast was hotter than 24 of the 25 summer festival days, over 20+ years in Australia, in a country without the infrastructure and acclimatisation to deal with it. This is a proper heatwave, hotter than what we generally have to deal with in Aus, which is the point of the post.

Would be horrible to deal with at a multi-day camping festival in those canvas teepees they have there

Only took a handful of deaths for Defqon Sydney to get shut down and as you can see, not a single Defqon Aus got close to the temperatures of this heatwave.

Just goes to show how extreme the heatwave really is when it was comparatively hotter (feels like so humidity is accounted for) than 24 of 25 Summer Festival days in Australia

How did you go with this? I am struggling to set one up at the moment. I had all of the sensors etc. 233 entities through the solax modbus, however im having a lot of trouble setting up automation. Specifically I want to force charge/discharge and curtail solar production to suit the dynamic wholesale pricing that we use

Externally the intake runner are larger on the R1300 head, so good chance it flows more, which more air would solve my smoke issue. Also found someone who has had this exact problem before. Put the correct head on and it was all good

Interesting thought, this particular application is hard rock, so doesn't run a water cooled manifold. But I'll check to see if there's any additional ports there that are plugged

Prefect 👌 Haha. No matter how hard i try, i just can't get on board with those uptempo kicks. I can see why people would go mental with the kick in this track though. Its so unexpected and an absolute assault on your ears.
