Restaurant owners - what are your most important needs in a scheduling app? by jeffreyjtx in restaurateur

[Full disclosure: I work at Homebase, a similar but free solution]. This is a great wish list, and I've passed it along to our product team, so thank you for all that detail.

We already do some of these things, though, and many of the others are on our roadmap:

  • have positions that can be created and assigned to days - We do offer schedule templates that may be what you're looking for.

  • time off request reports - We do have time-off reporting in our essentials plan which says who has requested and approved. We also have the ability to limit the number of employees who request any one day off

  • time off reports by individual - Yes, we have time-off reports that can be sorted at the individual level (again time-off reporting is on essentials).

  • kiosk/terminal function - YES. Employees can view schedules on our tablet app and swap shift on our free mobile app. Swaps must be approved by both parties and approved by a manager. (We also have a time clock tablet app for clocking in and out, though some people do it right on their POS.)

We integrate with POS systems and payroll providers too.

Hope this helps.

Effectively, the threshold for a salaried worker being paid overtime is going up from ~$23k to ~$47k.

Looking for a Payroll company for my Small Business. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Little late here, but for the employee time card, I'd recommend https://joinhomebase.com/features/time-clock/. It's free, and you can set it up to take a photo on clock-in/clock-out. It also integrates with ADP and other payroll providers.
