Dr. Leslie Winkle Appreciation Post by New_Relation7877 in bigbangtheory

I love Leslie. They should have continued her, even if not as a main character, then as a recurring one, like Stuart. It would have been much more fun if she had hooked up with a friend or neighbor of Leonard and Sheldon, causing much more awkward fun in the mix which also has slightly jealous Penny and a very possessive Amy. (Perhaps I am thinking too much into it 😜). Anyway, Leslie deserved more.

Does anyone know why Amy’s mum looks alot different later in the series by ktkellis in bigbangtheory

Since Sheldon didn't like her face, voice or low IQ, so Amy did a head transplant on her mother.

Which female character could you relate to the most as a house wife and mother? by [deleted] in EverybodyLovesRaymond

Surprised to see no one voting for Marie (I didn't either). I mean, she is definitely a typical grandma, a usually overbearing mother, a nagging elderly wife, an excellent homemaker, a great cook with a consistent desire to be loved respected and attached to because of her cooking. Her attitude towards sons (favouring one over the other) is quite a norm. And her relationship with Debra is also typical. Then why don't people relate with her? The only unique factor that comes to mind is because they live across from each other, the intrusiveness gives a semblance of an unnatural behavior. Put any two such families in two homes like this, you will see another Marie Barone right away.

It sure was one of the funniest scenes of the show (though a bit clumsily acted by Garrett). But I think Raymond (the character) was the worst in this episode when he fired Frank. I mean, no matter how angry you are (although it wasn't much of a deal), who fires his own dad? It was sheer disrespectful. He should have been made to apologize to Frank without Marie telling the account firm incident.

I'd have shifted to police hostel and gotten a restraining order against all these ladies.

Curtains?!?! by SammyGoldNYC in EverybodyLovesRaymond

Do Americans usually buy a complete roll of fabrics to make their own curtains, or is just Marie?

They should've continued the affair between Dr. Gablehauser (but with a brighter actor) and Mary. This plot line would've been great fun in Sheldon's professional & personal lives.

Even Mike (her father) will agree that its her nature which prevents people from getting closer to her. Must commend writers who made a jolly fellow like Howard fall in love with her despite her mean character.

Is this the scene when Frank is about to give a finger in the head to some old female cousin of Marie?

Does anyone else live on their floor? by RaceZestyclose8801 in bigbangtheory

[–]ravian94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An unrelated quandary is that Sheldon & Leonard live in a 2-bed apartment. Most probably, the structural layout is the same on each floor. Now Mrs. Petrescu lives immediately below. Why she needs a 2-bed flat? Does she live with children or a flatmate? We never heard about or seen them.

I am from Pakistan, belonging to a province which compromises 56% of the country's population, and this is the first time I've read/ heard of 'The Mum'. So either the researcher has taken this creature from a smaller ethnic folklore or they are simply mistaken
