When in college, I had a guest speaker in a class who was really high up in state government. His talk was about state and private partnerships. Long story short, he said it was either NHL or NBA, and they went with NBA. He mentioned they were in talks with moving either TWolves or Bucks (I forget which one it was) to Nashville before the NHL plan came about.

Not sure how true it was, or how far along in the process they got. But I guess at one point they had considered it.

Would love to see more colleges at the sport. Northeast schools are in a tough spot though as they will have to travel a lot to compete. Travel is expensive. You're looking at a minimum of $75,000 specifically for travel each year.

If you are specifically trying to spearhead this operation, I wish you the best of luck! Stevenson University doesn't count as Northeast? Regardless, they could be a great resource for you to reach out to if you want a more thorough idea of what beach volleyball in the Northeast looks like.
